24.01.2022 Is anyone else feeling a lot of masculine energy right now? A lot of do, learn, create, transition, adapt NOW. I know everyone's making lemonade out of lemons and for some, this will be a season to thrive, but in case you needed to hear this, it's okay to just BE ... It's okay to not know what's next... I was putting SO MUCH PRESSURE on myself. Finish online courses Make new offerings Set up a homeschool Set up a home gym Make a whole new content schedule Support clients Get new clients Work out refunds/cancellations Work out new budget But be a present mum But watch all the news But breastfeed all night And you know what, I was making myself crazy.... I had to give myself permission to just be and that includes having a break from biz. I needed to let go To surrender To not be all things to all people and focus on the basics first The world's changing and I need a second and maybe you do too Breathe.cry.stop.rest. There's no right or wrong way to do this, but PLEASE take care of yourself and know that letting yourself be and surrendering is just as beautiful and valid as creation. Do you always

22.01.2022 CHILD CARE FINANCIAL HARDSHIP: If you still need to send your child to daycare but are experiencing financial hardship and are already receiving a child care subsidy, you can apply for the financial hardship subsidy which can cover the full amount of child care for a maximum of 13 weeks. The application is made via your Mygov account (swipe left for picture), select Centelink > My family > Childcare > temporary hardship I know lots of families will be making decision as to whether they keep their kids at home or in care, but for those still working or needing support, this might help. @ Cairns, Queensland, Australia

22.01.2022 Thank you to everyone whose been reaching out to us over the last couple of weeks. As everything escalates globally, we've decided to come home a little earlier than expected. I know fear, panic and worry is hard to avoid right now but don't let this change who you are, be kind, show love, keep your hearts open.... As we've been away in another country (Indonesia) we're taking every precaution including self isolation and doctors clearance for the safety of our schools, clients, friends and family. I'll try and contact everyone individually and keep you up to date. I might also need to cancel/delay a few things to keep everyone as protected as possible. Be safe, be kind and do the best you can for your loved ones. Storm x

22.01.2022 Social media isn't EVERYTHING It's one thing, in a system of things that support your business, the key is KNOWING where it fits in that system Think of it like this: you want a customer to go from A to Z (finding you to sale) so you need to map out the entire experience... How will they find you? A blog A podcast feature Your social media through a like minded hashtag Once they find you, how will they get to know you? Where do you nurture customers? Your email list Your YouTube channel Your Instagram page? And when they want to work with you, what's the point of sale? An application form? A shoppable feed? Your website? Social media needs to FIT your customers journey. If you don't sell via social media, you need a way to get them off your platform, if you use it to nurture your community, how will you funnel NEW audience members into your social media and if you have no idea where it fits, join my email list. I'm giving away a free funnel sequence tonight to all the Social Klub email fam. Link in bio > Subscribe Do you know where your social media fits?

20.01.2022 To be a brown (business) woman in a white world Before we go there, I'm calling safe space. It's this thing where you ask for compassion and understanding before you SAY the thing, knowing it might be a lil uncomfortable to start with, so we here go *Deep Breathe* Okay, here's a lil activity, to set the mood > go scroll your feed. I'm guessing, for the majority of people reading this, your social media is filled with white faces. Maybe a lil tanned (s...pray on or otherwise), but I'd say your feeds are mostly Anglo/European? Yes or No? Okay BONUS round, at the last event/awards night/workshop/panel you attended [apart from mine] was their an Indigenous woman as an expert? Was a WOC nominated outside of the 'diversity' category or was the host/panelist a woman who looks like me? Now imagine starting a business. You join the groups, you go to the events, you read the books and watch the videos, but you never see yourself reflected And the WORST part is, you're use to it. Imagine that kind of subconscious messaging.... Brown/black = not successful Brown/black = unworthy Brown/black = not mainstream enough There's room for ONE brown/black person at the table.... I had internalized this, for almost 30years and guess what MY social media looked like? My brown face in a sea of white ones. The experts I followed, the events I went too, the women I worked with. I'd normalized that I was maybe the 'ONE' allowed at the table SO, what am I doing about it? I'm being more conscious with what I consume, what I attend and where I invest my time and energy. I'm creating my own events and workshops because representation matters, outside of quotas and International Women's Week. I'm showing up more and stepping into leadership to showcase an inclusive approach to business, one I wish I had when I started. What does this mean for you? Well, it can mean whatever you chose it too, but my hope is to start a conversation that's well overdue... #LetsTalkAboutIt See more

20.01.2022 SOCIAL MEDIA MENTAL HEALTH CHECKPOINT You know that saying, you can't change the people around you BUT you change the people around you Well here's the worst kept secret on the internet....... YOU CAN TOTALLY CHANGE THE PEOPLE AROUND YOU ON SOCIAL MEDIA 1 You have a follow, unfollow, mute, block button for a reason - use it! Social media is your home online, don't let people trash it 2 Just because someone follows you DOESN'T mean you have to follow them back. It's NOT rude. Your follow is an investment of time & energy. Can you give that to them or are you being polite? 3 It's okay to stop resonating with someone. Maybe their account helped you at a particular time or season - it's okay if that season is over. You're allowed to change, evolve, find new sources of inspiration Your time & energy is precious. For anyone who reads this I APPRECIATE THE EFF OUTTA YOU Thanks for YOUR investment & it's okay if one day you take that investment elsewhere. It's great to share this season with you S

19.01.2022 Are you good, or are you great Do you know the difference between good social media and great social media? Good social media gets the double tap. Great social media gets a comment... Good social media gets an emoji . Great social media starts conversations, draws people to message your and build a real relationship with you Good social media gets a share or a re post. Great social media drives action, like a sign up to your email list or a purchase on your website Good social media is a temporary distraction. Great social media is memorable, creates impact, drives action, converts, uplifts, connects and starts ripples that turn into waves I'm here for GREAT, what about you? Join my email list if you want exclusive training on what it takes to have a GREAT social media account https://www.kasemedia.com.au/insta and subscribe

18.01.2022 Hey human, in all your messy humanness... Unlike insta, life doesn't have Monoko to filter out the sh*t bits. It's amazing and crushing and beautifully f*cked all at once So rather than cutting yourself up into a thousand pieces, wearing different masks, wearing yourself thin and trying to find the perfect balance... Things will never be perfect Life will happen You'll have a bad day A crap launch A day/week or month that you HATE social media But integrating all the parts of yourself will help you stay whole. So maybe it's time to loosen up those social media, perfectly curated, every 3rd tile must be a quote thang Maybe show up a lil more, care a lil less, DO - even when it's imperfect. You are a WHOLE ass human and while you can pick and choose what to share online of course.... picking and choosing the parts of you that a WORTHY of being seen is exhausting FYI it's all beautifully flawed and wonderously human See more

17.01.2022 Tomorrow we go to Bali, but hold the #laptoplife for a minute Will there be holiday spam? Yes Will my heart explode at all the wonder in three lil boys eyes as we explore another country? Yes Will there be Poolside cocktails with a laptop perpetuating that #DigitalNomad life? YES ... But before the highlight reel, here's the truth... I have not been a present parent or partner, and while I know I'm doing what I can - I wouldn't say I'm doing my best. Too many in one minute, Too many I'm watching, behind the screen of my phone. Too many, not now's. And this isn't too judge anyone or even myself, I just know that's not how I want to life. So to get there tomorrow, I've been up every night until about 12, feeds at 3, up at 6/7 and around we go again. I've worked through Christmas, through every weekend/holiday etc. and I feel like I TRULY haven't been present with my fam since February last year. I still have my beautiful coaching clients whilst I'm away and a few things to finish for the online course, but that laptop life requires about a year of planning, 3 months of not sleeping, hiring a Nanny and so many self-pep talks [it'll all be worth it, it'll all be worth it] The Glow Up only took 4 years

13.01.2022 Write. Edit. Delete. The perpetual wtf am I actually saying on my social media, spiral.. Hands up if you go down this road a few *million* times? Yeah, me, rn - like everything I want to say isn't good enough/meaningful enough/social-media-tippy enough... Ever since I dediced to rebrand, I'm in this limbo of would Kase say that, and usually I'd be all do-you, BUT... how often do we really dissect what that means? Whilst rebranding I've had to ask the obvious but totally uncomfortable question what do we stand for? And while my core values as a human drives the values of the business, it's hard to be objective with yourself In social media, we talk about #contentpillars the core themes that your posts are built around which should relate back to your > brand values ensuring your brand message is front and centre BUT after 4 years, changing as a business, growing as a person, I've really had to think about who I am in 2020, who the business is in 2020 and where we're going With everything going on in the world, businesses globally are being called out for performative marketing aka, caring about issues for 'performance' because it's trending and not because it's a genuine and authentic value of your business And in some small way, I'm reckoning with that too Deciding WHO we will be today, tomorrow and in the future How we show up online, how we show up for customers and how we show up for ourselves everyday in the world And while *consistency* is all the rage, I don't give a fork about a consistent content calendar I care about consistent values, a consistent message, a consistent voice, a consistent customer experience which is evident through a consistent and aligned social media So if you're feeling a little outta sorts and stuck in why is everything feeling off on social Maybe take some time to revisit who your business is in this moment Where you've not fully expressed or embraced your values Where you've been too silent, or too vocal And let that guide you through the process of reestablishing what you want to share and why

13.01.2022 Job Keeper announcement: Employers (businesses/NFP/sole traders) that have employees as at 1 March and are still operational (have not deregistered, even if staff have been stood down) will be eligible for a $1500 a fortnight wage subsidy per fortnight per employee. Initiative to keep businesses open, even if unable to trade and continue relationships with employees to innovate and transition during this time. You can NOT be a job seeker and a job keeper, you'll need to conf...irm with your employee whether they are applying for this scheme and essentially move off of job seeker (Centrelink) and move onto job keeper. Payments will be backdated to employers but not able to be rolled out until May. Hope that employers will keep employees, continue paying staff to retain them and then govt subsidy will kick in and they will also be paid in arrears for whatever they've covered in the meantime. - Employees fulltime, part time at at 1 March and casuals over 12months - Payment is flat, even if you were on $800 a fortnight, you're entitled to the full rate - The employers will need to pass this on, however entitlements like Super/Annual Leave etc. weren't confirmed - Delivered via ATO directly to businesses who've had more than 30% downturn. You must self declare - ATO can track through Single Touch Payroll and current payg processes how many is being forwarded to employees Message: keep your staff, keep going, think of ways to innovate and get through it together

10.01.2022 Social media is for REAL PEOPLE *louder for the backrow* For the scrollers & the D.I.Yers The learners & the growth-hackers The creatives... The connectors The thinkers & the doers And the should-be-doing-other-stuffe-rs" You won't find your tribe, let alone create a genuine long term, high value relationship if you forget that your audience is an ACTUAL person So before you reach for that coffee *filler-cos-I-gotta-stay-consistent* post, think about your ideal someone/s and what they need right now ~ What they're interested in ~ What obstacles they're facing ~ Whether you wanna be the lol in their day, teach them something, or a big warm #igotchu moment Do you know what audience you have and what they love on social media?!

08.01.2022 More WE and less ME... That's what this season is about Letting go of that I can't trust anyone else to do it like I do, story. Letting go of ego... Trusting more in the systems and processes I've built over the last 4 years Trusting my team Trusting my ability to lead Trusting that our mission, values and culture is so strong that my team can serve you even better than I can As we move into a 'we' season, the social media management side of the business is transitioning into an agency A business model that allows us to serve more people and introduce our first entry level package so management is more accessible and affordable I can't wait to share more of this growth with you and show off the incredible team who makes this all possible If you have any questions, comment or dm me and I'll pop on stories today to share a lil more

07.01.2022 Dear tired women on #IWD2021 I thought I'd say this, in case anyone is feeling a pit in their stomach as all the IWD posts cross their feed.... It's ok to be tired ... Tired of fighting Tired of working all the unpaid and undervalued domestic and childcaring hours Tired of governments and religion telling you what to do with your body Tired of having reproductive chats with people just because you have a womb Tired of not being heard Tired of not being believed Tired of choosing to challenge It's not women's work to challenge gender inequality We've been fighting for our rights to merely exist (vote/work/birth/f*ck/live/wear) what we want since the beginning of time Just a little love letter to the women who've fought so I can be here now - thank you My hope is that someone else takes up the challenge, so tired women and bright eyed lttle girls and ancestors who could only dream of who we are now never need an International Women's Day again

05.01.2022 Seeing someone like yourself in a position of influence and power does have a real impact J. Meltzer If you don't SEE yourself online - then be it. #ExpressoShots for me was a way to help people be seen by themselves and then by others. An accessible and affordable way to take up space, for business, for marketing and maybe just a reminder of who they are.... Being online and working #SocialMedia I'm bombarded with content that rarely looks like me. From fashion to beauty, to panels, awards, and so on and so on. I remember the feeling of my first shoot. Of wanting to be seen - of being visible. Of making a statement by simply showing my face. I want the people I work with to truly feel seen. To be the influence and impact they wish they had and if you don't feel there's a space for you online - it's our job to create one. @taliciabolea @tobystanleyphotography @korufurnitureandhomewares

04.01.2022 PSA DMS CAN WAIT TILL MONDAY Emails can wait Responses don't need to be instant Seeing a message does NOT mean you have to respond ... It is NOT rude to implement boundaries, response times, or 'offline' periods A green light or 'online status' does not entitle people to demand things from you It's SOCIAL media, let's stop normalising anti-SOCIAL behaviour

04.01.2022 As I sorta *definitely* come back from imposter syndrome meltdown 1056461, I ground myself in you guys In the client's I've worked with In the things we've created The results we've achieved And the transformations I've witnessed... You wouldn't even recognize this powerhouses business 6 months ago @chloecollinsnutrition Since working with her, she's Launched a podcast Launched a signature program Launched an e-book Owned her space and transitioned from a Women's Nutritionist >> to a Women's Health Expert, fiercely leading and supporting her community to address the taboo, the vulnerable and the neglected world of Women's Health Witnessing and supporting this vision come to life is the swoonworthy, heart-melt of it all It's like coming home, back to the mission and back to the ACTUAL humans behind the phone Because for us, social media is powerfully personal It's about unlocking your YOU-NESS. Supporting clients to take up space and make a lasting and sustainable impact on your community AND business Our brains can be self sabotaging lil sh*ts sometimes, but never forget how you being the best YOU CAN supports others to do the same @ Cairns, Queensland, Australia
