24.01.2022 So this just happened
23.01.2022 Perfectly normal view out of our Bricklink Store window on a Tuesday afternoon. When you see it...
22.01.2022 25,000 new parts @ 20% off added to the store in the last couple of days - mostly because it's been too hot here in SA to human! www.ibbricks.com.au
21.01.2022 Well, that's my weekend 'sorted'! What is everyone else doing with their time? If you're building would love to see photos www.ibbricks.com.au
20.01.2022 2018 A YEAR IN REVIEW Another year down and another year of business complete. We are just about to hit 4 years wow time has flown! As you may have seen at the end of December we reached a major milestone of 10,000 orders in our store. If you had asked me four years ago whether this was even possible I would have laughed hysterically. Nick and I fondly recall one month early on in the business where we did 78 orders in a month and we were SO BUSY! We now average 10 or...ders a day On that note, we also sold of a million parts this year For those who like stats, here are the latest: 2018 vs 2017: Orders up 33.7% Parts sold up 52.7% Turnover up 31.9% 2018 vs 2015 (year we opened): Orders up 176% Parts sold up 245% Turnover up 129% Aside from the business, Nick and I were extremely privileged to attend the Lego Inside Tour in Billund, Denmark, in May this year. It was amazing and I highly recommend attending if you ever get the opportunity. We also exhibited at a number of shows as part of the Southern Bricks Lego Users Group (SBLUG - https://sblug.club/) including at Brick-a-laide, AMRE, Brick Barossa and Noarlunga Model Train Show. Towards the end of the year Nick had the amazing opportunity of working with a team of Lego builders to create a life size Rudolf and Christmas Sleigh, which was then enjoyed by thousands in Victoria Square, Adelaide. Pretty awesome year, even if I do say so myself! But aside from all of the above, the most precious thing that 2018 bought us was the continuing support of wonderful people like yourselves who encourage us to be our very best every day. You can have the best parts and systems in the world, but if you don’t have people that support you, you really have nothing. So thank you, thank you, thank you! And here’s to the next 12 months
17.01.2022 We're back! After an amazing 10 days away in Denmark it's now back to reality *sigh*. But one of the things that really impressed us while we were at the Lego House in Billund was the amazing landscape builds, and the many minifigs that populate them. So in honour of these awesome works of art , and on the off chance you have a large city that needs populating, we have reduced the price of all of our town/city minifigs to just $2 each!... Feel free to come and have a look at https://store.bricklink.com/IttyBittyBricks&utm_content=glo
13.01.2022 Making up for lost time by adding 35,000 parts to our store today. Busy, busy! www.ibbricks.com.auMaking up for lost time by adding 35,000 parts to our store today. Busy, busy! www.ibbricks.com.au
12.01.2022 It’s days like today that remind me just how lucky I am to have so many amazing LEGO friends. A HUGE turnout for the SBLUG Christmas catchup, with so many wonderful people passing on their love of LEGO to the less fortunate via the Smith Family Christmas Appeal. If you would like to see the super cute elves in the photo in person (built by the awesomely talented Steve Ready and Aaron Onegun Monaghan) they will be in Adelaide’s Victoria Square along with the life sized LEGO s...leigh and LEGO Rudolf from 14th December. Free family photo anyone? And while you are there, take a stroll down Rundle Mall and feast your eyes on the fabulous LEGO display by our ‘adopted’ SBLUG member (and LEGO Master) Kale Frost #smithfamily #adelaidecitycouncil #digitallamb #frostbricks #forthelug
12.01.2022 Are you coming to Brickvention 2020? Do you love free shipping on Bricklink orders? If so, Itty Bitty Bricks are excited to be exhibiting our 'Hanging Gardens of Babylon' at Brickvention, and we are very happy to bring Bricklink orders along with us :) All you need to do is:... 1. place your order and select 'local pickup' when you checkout so that you don't get charged postage; 2. pay for your order by midnight, Sunday 12 January 2020, via Paypal and/or bank transfer (unfortunately we can't do COD); 3. let us know in the order notes when you will be at Brickvention (date/time, so we can make sure we keep an eye out for you); and 4. we'll organise the rest! Feel free to have a look at what we have at www.ibbricks.com.au - and if you don't have tickets to Brickvention yet you can still buy them at https://www.trybooking.com/book/event?eid=466265&
11.01.2022 Just confirming we are still alive. Swamped under a pile of orders, but alive
10.01.2022 Booyah! OCD perfection! (It's not weird that I spend my Sunday evenings stalking my feedback numbers, right?)
09.01.2022 Hmmm... I suspect order packing may be slightly more hazardous than normal since Max decided his bed MUST be in the middle of the Bricklink room floor. Note: dog is non-shedding, so if you find a hair in your order it's probably mine
09.01.2022 It's that time again - the 50% off 'Stupids' sale! Yay?!? 'Stupids' include items such as Friends accessories, magenta anything, Nexo shields, lavender plates, and our all time favourite... fuselages! There are also some possibly slightly less stupid 'stupids' available given that around 400 lots are on 50% off sale, but to find them you'll just have to come have a look for yourself . If you're not sure of the easiest way to locate 'stupids' please refer the attached ima...ge Of course, if 'stupids' aren't your thing we have 20% off 'normals' and 'awesomes' as well :) Come check us out at www.ibbricks.com.au
08.01.2022 So, this just happened Maximum OCD joy! Thanks to everyone that helped us get here
07.01.2022 Merry Christmas to all our wonderful customers! Our present today was to find out that of the 40,936 Bricklink stores registered worldwide we are now in the top 100 by feedback! Woo hoo! Thank you so much to everyone who helped us get there. We love you all
06.01.2022 This weeks 'small' build by an amazingly talented group of people in our local LUG (SBLUG), headed by Steve Ready, on behalf of the Adelaide City Council! Nick Modra helped out with the life size sleigh and Rudolf builds while I put little parts in bags to make mini reindeers and Xmas trees designed by Nick. He's a bit clever ;) #SBLUGAU #SouthernBricks
05.01.2022 Just finishing up for today... at 1.20am! Living the dream here people
05.01.2022 A sneak peak of the WIP on our build for Brixpo. It's not Kale Scale, but it is reasonably large Want to see the finished product in person? Visit www.brixpo.com.au to grab your tickets before they all sell out!
05.01.2022 This year's OTT build is bought to you by... The Hanging Gardens of Babylon. Apparently we are incapable of building anything small (or easy to transport!) Photo credit to (I think) Narelle Robinson.
04.01.2022 Took a few photos tonight of our Bricklink room because it has been a while. The first photo is of the short wall as you walk through the door, while the second photo shows the 'great wall of Lego' as it moves down to the end wall of racking. The third photo shows the 'work' area, where all the hard work of sorting and packing is done. And the fourth photo shows the 'great wall' from the other direction, (with a few orders picked ready for packing and sending tomorrow)... And the final photo is of the room when we first started... a little different to now ;)
01.01.2022 Been busy this week going through the 'archives' and adding some older sets to our stock. 10188 Death Star, Shield Heli-Carrier, and GBHQ. Really should look behind our storage drawers more often! So if you need LBG and DBG parts at 20% off the six month average sold price, we may be able to help ;) www.ibbricks.com.au
