16.01.2022 Not everyone has the same goals or wants over the Christmas period. 1. If you want to train, that's cool. If you don't, that's cool too. 2. If you want to go all out at Christmas lunch, do it. If you want to practice moderation and politely decline a second serve, also fine.... 3. If you've decided to take a healthier route this year, it's not ok for friends and family to pressure you into anything. Likewise, if you want to take this time to relax and let loose a little that's your own prerogative. Enjoy yourself, and focus on what is important to YOU at the moment.

09.01.2022 Is one of your New Years Resolutions 'get fitter' or 'lose weight'? Seeing as it's consistently ranked one of the top resolutions annually I won't be surprised if your answer is 'Yes'. The only issue with a resolution like this: it's very hard to qualify, and that in itself can make it harder to maintain. Instead of 'lose weight', you could try something like: I'm going to squat X amount of weight I'm going to run X km non-stop I'm going to do my first unassisted chi...n I'm going to find an exercise I actually enjoy and commit to X workouts per week Setting tangible goals makes it much easier to acknowledge when you're achieving them, and in doing so, stick to them. 05.01.2022 If you're doing any sort of weight training, don't neglect your static stretches. Studies show benefits ranging from increased joint ROM, to the reduction of injuries and marked increases in performance over time due to stretching.

03.01.2022 Today marks five years since I decided to take a leap of faith and pursue a career that, yes I genuinely loved and was passionate about, but also that doesn't always offer a great deal of stability or security. Half a decade () later and it's still one of the best decisions I've ever made. It wouldn't be possible without the support of friends and family, but most of all my clients who have continued to entrust me with their health and fitness. Thanks everyone and here's to another epic 5 years!



03.01.2022 TRYING FOR ONE MORE SNEAKY EXERCISE TIP BEFORE Let's talk dumbbell incline bench... While I wouldn't typically include this as the primary exercise on chest day, incline bench can be a great accessory exercise. Following heavier flat bench, incline bench works more of your upper pec muscles. It can also work them more effectively (and safely) to fatigue, rather than trying pumping out heavy barbell reps.

02.01.2022 Thank you all for a great 2020. It wasn't the year any of us expected, but it was the year we got and I'm so grateful to have had the support network around me this year to be coming out the other side stronger. This year has taught us a lot about both physical and mental resilience, and while no doubt 2021 will have its own set of challenges 2020 has certainly proved we can get through them.
