07.01.2022 Hello fellow swappers and food growers. Normally it would be time for our regular food swap this Sunday. However, for various reasons we have decided it is time to abandon the Food Swap, at least for the foreseeable future. More recently the number of attendees has dropped off and we have been finding it difficult to find the time to organise guest speakers and to properly prepare for the day. We think for something like this to thrive it needs a group of organisers and perha...ps a more public setting. Also most of the regulars have travelled in from further afield with very few locals joining us. We still love the concept but suspect it is not the right fit for Katamatite at this point in time. We will continue to look for new ways to help our community to adapt to the challenges we all face in the near future. In the meantime there is a new Food Swap starting up in Numurkah which should still serve the regulars and may find more support from an increasingly aware community there. We hope you can support it. Thanks for joining us in the past and please let us know if you have any positive adaptive projects coming up that we can contribute to and support in any way. 05.01.2022 Hello Everyone. So, we are having a rather wet time of it which means there is no prospect of harvesting garlic (Don't harvest while it's wet). Also, we have no covered area free at the moment so if it's raining in the morning we will all be getting wet. Given that, and a mountain of work to be done, we have decided to cancel tomorrow's Food Swap. We will still be around for anyone who doesn't do Facebook or doesn't get the message or just refuses to take no for an answer!... See you in December!
