25.01.2022 While the boss is away lets play. We have at the Community Harvest this week beautiful fresh Rainbow Chart just picked this morning in the dew. Cabbages also picked this morning in the cold dew. The chooks are laying again so there are farm fresh eggs available. 16 Albion St is where we are. Beef Sausages are just $2.00 per packet now lets see who can beat that price.Our boss told us that last week for only a week but as I said while the boss is away lets play. $2.00 per pack for beef sausages. I can smell sausage rolls cooking no easier way than using beef sausages and adding your own flavours. See you all soon.

24.01.2022 It's raining it's pouring the soup is a boiling its time to warm those cold bones. It's been a while so we thought we would let you know what is happening down at The Neighbourhood Centre. Firstly a huge big welcome to Rose she is the new volunteer in the Community Harvest. She'll be with us for a while we hope, Amanda is all smile as she has a helper doing all the dirty work for her. So when your in next collecting you weekly/Daily needs say hi. Are winter garden is coming... to an end we have more coming on but they may be a few weeks away but keep your eye out for the fresh veges in the Community Harvest fridges. Ken has two new helpers in the garden. Bec and Brendan are cracking the whip lets hope Ken keeps up with the pace. They have been working hard doing a weeding and a big clean up. The beds are filling up with all sorts again, there itching to get started with the summer vege but we need to wait for a while, we need to have winter first. If you have a want for certain veges let us know and we will have a go at growing them for you. That could be our new challenge. Please send in your requests either by face book or phone 08 98 214 433. You could even pop down and speak with us. All crops are to be legal. HAHA Karen's been busy doing large format printing, thats kept her quiet for a while. Don't forget LP Nursery is open here Wednesday to Friday. The Golden Oldie's are here every Thursday morning from 10.00 am. This is a beautiful group of older people getting together to share stories and have a cuppa and enjoy each others company. While they're here we fix all the technology needs for them if we can't fix it we get the help that they need to keep them going. This is a service that The Neighbourhood Centre has been doing for the last 6 or so years. AND then theres me I just sit here all day and SMILE. See more

16.01.2022 WOW just like that we have had a few cold days. The Katanning Neighbourhood Centre have bags of Fire Wood to help keep you cold bones warm, Just $20.00 per Bag. Talking of keeping warm we have all your Winter Warming needs to keep your belly's full. Come and have a look at our collection of fresh vegetable. Sweet Corn,Sweet Potatoes, Potatoes, Snow peas, Coleslaw mix and lots lots more be Quick. Speaking of keeping warm we have soups lots and lots of soups.... Amanda our lovely volunteer had Dave and Ken busy yesterday unload our Foodbank truck with all the goodies you need. What a surprise we got with that load we have cans and cans of veges, beans ,spaghetti and maybe if you look hard enough a free set of steak knifes(Laugh out loud). The Fridge and Freezers are busting at there seams first in best dressed as they say. Remember you can phone in on 0898214433 and we can fill your order for you. 15.01.2022 What a cold gloomy day, just right for a nice roast dinner come on down and grab one of our lovely roast pork's and fresh grown veg before they all fly out the door. For those that want an easier dinner we have some great little balls of crumb chicken or sweet chilli strips to go with our veg and chips. Even simpler a nice pre cooked dinner such as Spag bog, Roast chicken or pork. We have some nice cakes for after. While here check out all the other goodies, the shop is full. Have a great day guys

07.01.2022 The sun is shining so why not go for a walk and come and visit the Katanning Neighbourhood Centre. Come and see what we have new in at the Community Harvest, at the moment we have lots and lots frozen meats at $6.00 per kilo what a bargain. Also a large range of other frozen goods. The Vege garden is producing very well, we have lots of winter veges ready to go. Who could beat $1.50kg for Vegetables and limited rang of fruit. Fancy paying 15 CENTS for a small package of Broccoli what a steal. 1/4 Cabbage is just 90 CENTS. You would be mad to be paying more. Picked fresh everyday from our very own garden. While your here we are keen to hear all of your easy to cook dinner meals, Just let us know, we can pass on the recipes to help other make them.
