22.01.2022 THIS IS HOW MUSCLES WORK Muscles contract when they receive a motor impulse from a motor nerve. These nerve impulses serve only a limited number of muscle fib...ers. The muscle fibers served by a single motor neuron make up a structure known as a motor unit. Motor units allow for selective contraction of muscle fibers so that we may control the strength and extent of muscle contraction. Without motor units a nerve impulse to the muscle would result in the entire muscle contracting to its full extent. That would make every motion that we make an all or none motion. This type of movement would make life nearly impossible. Note that this diagram shows a neuromuscular junction of one motor neuron with one muscle fiber. In a motor unit the motor neuron branches to form neuromuscular junctions with several muscle fibers. To repeat, a motor neuron and all of the muscle fibers it supplies is called a MOTOR UNIT.

17.01.2022 Latest covid-19 and Remedial Massage Update. Unfortunately still no change for Queensland. Qld Government are standing very firm on NO! It won't be forever peeps hang in there.

17.01.2022 Please know this is not my choice. Queensland Health have made it very clear for a week now all Massage Therapists including Remedial Massage Therapists must cease work. Rest assured when this is all over I will be back stronger then ever!!!! Stay safe everyone. xx

17.01.2022 We can all do our bit to stay safe during COVID-19. Here is what I am doing to ensure my safety, my clients safety and the safety or our families and the community. Breaks between appointments to ensure plenty of time to clean and sanitize all surfaces within the room according to Qld Health Guidelines Breaks will also allow for minimal people in the clinic at any time (so please firmly stick to your appointment time) Fresh linen for every patient (this is as per usual)... All linen washed above 70 (Qld Health Guidlines) Disposable Face Cradle Covers I won’t be attending appointments if myself or anyone in my household is unwell. I WILL turn away anyone who appears unwell at the time of their appointment Here’s what you can do: Adhere to all social distancing guidelines Make use of hand washing facilities and hand sanitizers made available Be on time for your appointment (avoid being early or late) Don’t attend if you or anyone in your household is unwell (even if its just a cold or allergies) We are all in this together. Lets all do our bit to keep each other safe and healthy.
