17.01.2022 Saddle fit is so crucial to your horses wellbeing!! Great pick up Ron x
17.01.2022 One of the greatest things ever invented is the slow mo video on the new smart phones. It’s a great tool to check your own horse for subtle signs of lameness that you may be able to feel under saddle or notice when in the cart but can’t pinpoint the exact location. Soreness can range from a large array of ailments including, hoof and shoeing angles to soreness in joints, tendons and ligaments in the legs. Hoof placement for me as a harness racing trainer is vital to the hors...es success. For instance, if one of my horses had soreness in his shoulder, that leg would be short stepping. He would be uneven in his gait and the back leg at the pace would be clipping the sore leg. He may not be head dipping or showing signs of soreness but these videos are amazing at nutting down as to where it could be coming from. Such a great tool for everyone. Always check your horses walk, trot, and turn ability before getting on. Use your slow mo camera. Making sure the horse/ pony is sound, keeps you as a rider/ driver safe! This is me and my new boy Harry. He is over 16 hands so his leg placement on our racing track bends is vital to his ability to reduce an injury to himself and to gain confidence on the corners, and stay competitive during his race. #loveyourhorses #happyhorseisasafehorse
16.01.2022 Steel cart for sale I brought it sight unseen, was supposed to be for miniatures - but as you can see in the photo (9.1hh) it’s too big. Would suit a solid 10.2...hh up to 14hh comfortably. It is heavy- but well balanced - great for starting ponies, as it’s nice and wide too. It has bicycle tyres at the moment, I would recommend changing them to a more solid tyre if in regular use. Asking what I paid 400 Located Robinvale victoria/NSW border May be able to help with transport depending on location. See more

03.01.2022 Does your horse have any of the following? MUD FEVER, RAIN SCALD, THRUSH, SEEDY TOE, GREASY HEEL or WHITE LINE DISEASE Then I have exciting news!! ... I am now a stockist for the amazing EQUINECARE PROBIOTIC. I have been using it on some of my horses and I highly recommend it! The best thing about EquineCare Probiotic is it contains hardly any ingredients. Unless you are counting billions of beneficial microbes, yeast and water which create an environment the pathogens can no longer survive in. It is natural, organic and non-toxic which makes it completely safe to use on your animal. It is also non-swabbable which is good news for racehorses. In this day and age with antibiotic resistance occurring at an alarming rate, it is reassuring to have a natural, safe and effective alternative for infections of this nature. MUD FEVER, RAIN SCALD, THRUSH, SEEDY TOE, GREASY HEEL AND WHITE LINE DISEASE Mud fever and rain scald, also known as greasy heel, pastern dermatitis and rain rot are all caused by bacterial (most commonly Dermatophilus Congolensis) or fungal infections of the skin. It most often presents itself in moist conditions and more often on horses with non-pigmented (pink) skin. Mud fever affects the lower limbs of your horse with cracks, crusts and scabs on the skin. Rain scald is usually spread over the body, head and neck and can often be seen or felt as small scabs over the skins surface, with the hair clumping to them. THE BENEFITS OF USING A PROBIOTIC Nearly every other treatment for these conditions calls for the scabs to be softened and removed. The skin below is sore and inflamed so this is not a pleasant scenario for your horse or the person treating them. The reason for removing them is that most other biocidal treatments need to come into direct contact with the disease or to let oxygen behind the scabs, as the pathogens are anaerobic. EquineCare Probiotic works differently as we believe it’s better to leave the scabs where they are. They are there to protect damaged tissue and a natural part of the healing process. Once the epidermal layer is sufficiently healed they will come away on their own. This is a kind, gentle way of treating your animal. Remove as much mud as is comfortable for your horse and spray once a day until healed. If your animal is susceptible to mud fever, rain scald or thrush a twice weekly maintenance spray is recommended. I have stock arriving soon! If you would like to buy a bottle, let me know xx 500ml EquineCare Probiotic with trigger spray - $50 1 litre EquineCare Probiotic with trigger spray - $80
03.01.2022 I am back to work if anyone requires my services, please let me know. I am following strict guidelines as set by my associated organisations and my insurance requirements. If you do book and become unwell, just let me know so we can reschedule. At the moment I am just working locally and am not sure when I’ll be back on the road. ... Everyone, please take care, stay safe and remember to stay home and self isolate as much as you can xx
03.01.2022 I am still open for business at this stage, but would prefer to only do urgent dental cases (horses not eating, loss of condition etc) or body work for performance horses that may have an engagement for racing or horses with issues that are affecting their health. I look after my dad, so want to keep him as safe as possible as he has a number of health issues, so is more susceptible. (Even though he thinks he is invincible). So if you book and have been unwell, or arou...nd someone unwell, please postpone your appointment. At this stage my travel appointments are on hold because of this and the border closures. Please take care during this time and remember that this pandemic can be prevented if we do stay home xx
01.01.2022 So very true. Tongue pressure and bit linkages vastly differ to what the new rules are mentioning. Hopefully Bit Bank Australia can make a difference
