25.01.2022 Just a quick partial cover of a song I love right now - Florence and the Machine’s Sky Full of Song

25.01.2022 The stage is my happy place Singing some jazzy cabaret songs a couple of weekends ago at Club Voltaire Photos by Benedict Leong

24.01.2022 Ah sorry everyone for the Kate posted a new profile picture! spam if you’re getting it. Was playing around with the placement of some new photos and it forces me to post it every time! Anyway, hope everyone is having a good weekend

23.01.2022 So apparently it's December next week? How dare the earth revolve around the sun like that without asking me first?? Keep an eye out for some end of year/start of year specials though

18.01.2022 Hey music lovers! I'd be super grateful if you could swing by my page and leave me a recommendation if you've had a lesson before and had a nice time Hey music lovers! I'd be super grateful if you could swing by my page and leave me a recommendation if you've had a lesson before and had a nice time

18.01.2022 Time for another partial cover! Been doing a lot of jazz stuff lately, and I always come back to the incredible Ella Fitzgerald’s standards. This is Black Coffee

18.01.2022 Had a fun morning recording some vocals for a friend's uni project. Into Dust by Mazzy Star - soon to become a Massive Attack style remix

16.01.2022 So although face to face music lessons are definitely the best way to learn, there is so much info out there - articles, videos, apps - that can really boost your knowledge and technique between lessons. This site so far has been pretty useful! Some tips for practicing or teaching yourself - watch yourself in the mirror, think about how every action and movement feels, and most importantly, use those ears! https://completevocalcoach.wordpress.com//tips4singers-vi/

15.01.2022 If anyone's looking for some fun over the upcoming holidays, check out Launchpad Drama's Starbound workshop! I spent ages 12-18 living and breathing musical theatre and having a wonderful time. Sign up and make sure to book some lessons to get ready to audition!

10.01.2022 Although I teach in Elsternwick most of the week, Tuesdays I'm back in my hometown at a place that's close to my heart

10.01.2022 So many new students start off their first conversations with me with some variant of "I can't sing" and it's awful! It's not even a thing! If you have vocal chords, you can sing. Now I'm not going to tell everyone they have an amazing voice and could start a professional career - but everyone can learn to get better, and everyone can find happiness in singing! To me, saying to someone "you can't sing" is pretty much the same as "you can't smile". Why would you do that?!

08.01.2022 And this is why I take my water bottle everywhere! Make sure you've got a reusable bottle to fill with our incredible Melbourne tap water though. You can keep yourself hydrated while not contributing to the world's plastic waste! also, Pro Tip: Get a humidifier and put it on low in your bedroom overnight. Works wonders on reducing that horrible scratchy morning throat.

08.01.2022 Just made a bunch of flyers and business cards and I'm excited to get them all out there! If you're around the Elsternwick/Glen Eira area and you spot one, maybe you'll get something special (maybe that special thing will be a free lesson )

05.01.2022 Discount December is here! New student offer - was it your 2018 resolution to start learning something new/fun? There's still time to do it! Book 1 lesson : 5% off Book 2 lessons: 15% off Book 3 lessons: 20% off... Book 4 lessons: 25% off Valid when you book your lessons for December and January. As always, gift vouchers will be available also! So why not give the gift of Music?

02.01.2022 Some good stuff here, although: 3. Performing is great! But it's not everyone's cup of tea. If you want to learn just for your own enjoyment, there's nothing wrong with that. You can still 'perform' for you family/friends, your pets or even just yourself though. 9. This is a tough one. First, try to figure out why you dislike you're voice - unfamiliarity? Low confidence? Your perception of what 'should' be good and bad? And is it something that you think you can change or develop - either in terms of not hating it, or developing your sound? Lots of people who sing (even professionals!) may dislike their voice for one reason or another. Definitely something we want to work on, but not a deal breaker!

02.01.2022 Finally got all my pretty business cards and flyers! Going to be posting these up on local noticeboards and in local businesses this week! Stay tuned for a special offer coming up
