25.01.2022 Planting a Ginkgo tree to commemorate the International Day of Peace. What a great initiative!
19.01.2022 Last days of Open Studio’s -if you haven’t had a chance to get out and have a look I would urge you to make time to visit at least one artist in your local area. So much incredible talent in this region.
18.01.2022 Was fortunate to be invited to attend Dunsborough Primary’s Bay Ok Day. What a fabulous initiative now in its 8th year bringing vital awareness to our local coastal environment.
14.01.2022 Ballot papers have been sent out and this is what they look like. You can select and tick up to 6 candidates. Once you have ticked your preferences, place the ballot into the ballot envelope and SIGN the back. Then place the ballot envelope into the pre-paid envelope, POST and vola you have voted!! SO EASY. If its 'accidentally' gone in the bin - please retrieve it and VOTE. Only 36% of ratepayers voted in our last election. Make your VOTE & your VOICE count.....
14.01.2022 Thank you all so much for your support. I am extremely grateful and looking forward to being your representative and voice on Council.
09.01.2022 As the owner of a small business in the Busselton CBD - I am passionate about supporting small businesses not just in Busselton but throughout our whole area. The retail sector has been under enormous strain for some time now. This can be attributed to a number of issues including a fall in consumer spending combined with the high cost of leasing premises. I fully support the revitalisation of the CBD in Busselton - it needs to be aesthetically pleasing in a way that encoura...ges people to come into the middle of town and enjoy wandering around. It also needs to be cohesively linked to the beachfront to enable a seem-less flow of pedestrian traffic through the town. There also needs to be some form of rate incentive for commercial building owners to encourage new small businesses to lease empty buildings. New businesses will not open if they are not confident that they can get local consumers to support them. Dunsborough businesses face the issue of limited parking for shop owners and employee’s and customers in the CBD during peak tourist seasons and this is another issue to be addressed. Rate increases must be justified as it leads to even fewer dollars in the pockets of ratepayers and therefore even less to be spent through our local businesses. YOUR VOTE + MY VOICE = OUR COMMUNITY!! See more
06.01.2022 As our local government elections in the COB are not longer contested in wards - I am conscious that we still need to ensure that those of us living in rural and semi-rural areas are adequately represented. I would like to see the formation of a rural sub-committee to address issues specific to these areas. Let me know your thoughts.....
