25.01.2022 Fabulous day celebrating extra Virgin Olive oil EVOO @cobramestate @ Boundary Bend, Victoria
22.01.2022 During menopause it’s important to keep exercising! What better way than to chase a little white ball around the course! Make sure there is something appetising at the end and share with someone if it is too much for one #hillstonestlucia @ Hillstone St Lucia
22.01.2022 The designated 'Blue Zones' in the world have some of the healthiest and longest living humans walking this earth. Examples are Okinawa in Japan and Sardinia in Italy. So what are they doing in these countries that we are not......More plant based foods in their diet, spending time together socially, purposeful daily movement ( not an hour thrashing themselves at the gym), decent sleeps and naps in the day oh... And wine! This is my kind of lifestyle. #benatural #plantpower
21.01.2022 Adelaide Central Market never disappoints! A foodie paradise of fresh wholesome food and a few delectable treats!! Also a one stop shop for flowers and bunny rabbit items... say what !

21.01.2022 It's not a great surprise that 30% of parents struggle to get their kids to eat green leafy vegetables .. but Fish!! Now come on kids - surely you like fish! Heading to Sydney to speak with the hosts of TODAY Extra just after 10am this morning on what to do to fill the gaps left by fussy diets #healthystart #omega3 #lovefish
20.01.2022 Excited by my new column 'Ask the Nutritionist' in the Sunday Mail body+soul Got a question for me ? Email to [email protected] We tried some amazing Bush Tucker ingredients on Frazer island earlier this year and trying to build them into meals at home. Hope the article inspires you to try your hand with our native gems!
20.01.2022 Revealed!!! What's in a nutritionist's pantry and fridge. No surprise that the staples are fruit, vegetables, lean meats and eggs but an absolute essential is the creamy Greek Style yoghurt...Opa!! I also love love love Cumin and Cinnamon....bring back the Aromas I say. Now as far as drinks go....there is no soft drink or juice ( unless it is smuggled in by dinner guests or wayward children ), however I do like my soda water right throughout the year. It feels cooler and something a little more sprightly than water, however it is still good for me. Great to compare fridges and pantries Rachael Bradford, APD Check the guide for food groups and serving sizes for all ages http://ow.ly/LRR43049HmK. http://ow.ly/qJrU3049Hr1
19.01.2022 Is your coffee habit destroying your health... Is there such thing as ‘coffee gut’ or is drinking too much coffee making you fat? For those of you who missed it on Sunday I have attached my response to a reader who was concerned that her 2 cappuccinos who the cause of her problems.... I have been involved in a few coffee conversations, debates and yes arguments lately and the bottom line is...... too many coffees can become problematic, especially when small is not small anymore ( 250ml+ ). If you are worried about your caffeine consumption ( upper limit is 400mg per day) -check out the amount you may be taking on board here https://www.betterhealth.vic.gov.au//healthyliving/caffeine
19.01.2022 For those of you who know me... I do like discussing your toilet habits or more to the point, your 'poo'. It's a conversation that we should be having as your 'normal ' trip to the toilet might not be normal and could be leading to chronic illness If you missed last weeks Body and Soul lift out , I slipped a story in there about your Number 2's. Here is a snapshot below. body+soul For more information and a few more poo pics http://www.gutfoundation.com.au/_/Expert_Round_Table_Report
18.01.2022 Dr Swee is a GP who I work with. She is passionate about gut health and fibre and is attempting to change one ‘gut biome’ at a time with these amazing creations. None of her baked goods contain sugar, all are filled with a mix of legumes and often she is using fresh fruits and produce from her own garden! Truly inspirational.
18.01.2022 The promise of a quick fix weight loss solution is alive and well.... all that will happen with these ‘skinny teas’ is dehydration and glucose loss. These teas have been peddled for years with not a lot of scientific backing! Look, it’s a great time of the year to make some healthy changes and motivate yourself in to the more healthier version of you, but it does not have to be at the detriment of your health! Tea is a wonderful drink to have after meals or as a mid meal, rich in L Theonine to relax and provide antioxidants. Try many different aromatic and black leaf brews and steer clear of those that promise a quick fix weight loss....... Nothing is quick!- without effort.
16.01.2022 Not sure of the reaction from my children if I tried to swing this !!! Happy Easter to all.
15.01.2022 The body is made up of around muscles all with their own specific job! The protein in your diet is important for the maintenance and building of these muscles - however we all need differing amounts depending on gender and age group https://www.nrv.gov.au/nutrients/protein If you missed yesterday's article in body+soul here are some questions answered and misconceptions debunked!!!

12.01.2022 Every child deserves the right to a healthy life. We focus on child safety, access to learning and child protection.....but what about their health. 60 out of every 200 children seen by the GP is overweight or obese! If they are overweight at 8 years old there us a 78% chance they will still be overweight at 15!....... Life altering! Today is World Obesity Day http://ow.ly/j9AH3053IS3 Dietitian's are understanding, nurturing and experts in providing help and guidance to ensure every child is given the right to a healthy start in life.

07.01.2022 The busiest time of the year does not mean you have to rely on takeaway meals . 2 tablespoons miso paste 2 tablespoons fresh squeezed OJ 2-3 teaspoons honey 1 teaspoon soy sauce... Marinate your swordfish and cook for a few minutes on the BBQ. Serve with an asparagus green salad. Super quick, delicious and easy. Now I can sit back and relax on my deck listening to Coldplay currently performing at Suncorp Stadium tonight #christmasmonth #eatfresh

01.01.2022 Fussy eating is not just restricted to the under 5's.. many adults cannot bring themselves to eat certain foods ( yep that's me and goats cheese!!). However some are even fearful of certain foods! Imagine being forced to eat the fried spider? Some little ones see broccoli in the same light. Today's Body and Soul article addressed a few easy swaps for those who just don't like certain foods.
