24.01.2022 Privilege, Power & the Pursuit of Body Liberation. @centre_for_integrative_health Last night we were super spoilt to not just be in the company of the incredible Nicole (aka @theembodiedjourney), but for her to support us in our learnings on this incredibly important topic There is so much I want to share about our discussions, that I don’t know where to start. But as with anything, it’s not so much where we start but the act of starting that is important.... With that in mind, here’s one discussion point that I invite you to consider... The topic of privilege often makes people feel uncomfortable and I’ve definitely been there. I invite you to notice what thoughts or feelings come up for you around privilege. Are you aware of your privileges?

23.01.2022 Which one would you pick to get your journey started? Ps Missed #NoDietDay yesterday with my social media break, made up for it with an interview with a journalist today at Centre for Integrative Health to talk all things #NonDiet

16.01.2022 There are so many more effective ways to improve your physical and mental health than to focus your efforts on weight loss. And I’m not talking about superfood powders or turmeric lattes. Here’s a few to consider if you feel stuck: - add some veggies to your diet - improve your sleep habits... - eat regularly (ie less skipping meals) - include fruit in your day - find enjoyable ways to move your body See more

16.01.2022 Over the long weekend I disconnected from social media and spent time connecting with friends. This included a night with our awesome neighbours by the fire with pizza & s’mores (google s’mores if you’re not from the US!), as well as beautiful bay walks on Wynnum foreshore. Heading into this week feeling rested, rejuvenated and ready. Highly recommend @centre_for_integrative_health

09.01.2022 Has your daughter called herself fat? Are you shocked because you didn’t expect her to think that about herself at such a young age? Don’t be surprised: studies show that at least 80% of 10-year-old girls are afraid of being fat. This is a startling indication of the level of fatphobia we have achieved in our society. This is a great article with fantastic tips to help you navigate supporting young ones in our diet & weight loss obsessed world
