There is no place for bullying. Ever. No matter what age. Having your child come home and feeling worthless after being told things by other kids is heartbreaking. ... K x

25.01.2022 I'm very excited to announce I am hiring! I have grown so much in the last year, more than I could have imagined. Currently I have a great team of ladies working behind the scenes with me already but it's time to hire a lovely new person into of shop front team. 23.01.2022 I've been a busy girl today getting this ready, my own little gift guide. Gift ideas from newborn to 3 and up. My website has so many products so you may not get to see it all so I thought this would he helpful. Enjoy. All of this is under our Christmas page on our website and of course in store as always. ... 22.01.2022 Wozers what a weekend! 2 games hockey, Girls Guides, high school open day all before 12pm. Lunch at @cambewarraestate to celebrate my Dad's life.... Dinner at @pontebaranddining with my girl. Late night dancing session with Em. Sunday - No hangover , cleared out storage unit, took shelves to new shop, reorganisation of whole shop (far out there is some stock) Maccas because let's be honest, I could not be bothered Now signing paper work for new school. Electric blanket on and off to catch zzzz's. Hope your weekend was quieter xx I'm in tomorrow

22.01.2022 Hi all, please read. Things are getting a bit tricky with stock for Christmas. I have spent today trying to order more stock but are hitting a brick wall with some of your favourites. ... Trybikes- I don't think I can get anymore until after Christmas. Kinderfeets I have one more delivery coming at the end of the month. PLEASE don't leave things until the last minute. Stuff is still on the way, boats can't unload, stock is being bumped off planes. It's crazy. Some stock isn't available until April next year.

20.01.2022 I've got this really cool habit....... Forgetting when I've ordered stock until I receive emails either saying it's on its way or final payments due Drives Hannah insane ... Even funnier when the couriers ask me if I knew it was coming! Big deliveries next week!

20.01.2022 I spend a long time discovering new brands to stock in my shop. I need to have an attachment to the products and a connection with the business owner. I know I keep saying we have run out of room (we really have) but I keep finding AMAZING brands which I want to stock, so I keep making room ... Always send me emails or insta messages for me to check out. Happy shopping- was lucky to get the last of MAYBE until May/June. Don't delay!

20.01.2022 It's my final meeting for my new website today and I'm SO EXCITED! I can't wait to show you, it's so different and I believe suits me perfectly. I have two businesses - shop and the website. They are both run differently and two lots of customers. ... Both with different work loads- the website never stops, there is always tweaking and checking to do on that. I love both, both are my babies. I hope you love them too.. I'll pop up a countdown with the date for next week!

20.01.2022 You know what's pretty special? Customers driving from Sydney, Wollongong, Kiama, Canberra, Ulladulla to visit our store? Sydney/Canberra is 3 hours away, so that's pretty special to know what I've created brings people from all around and the words of 'Oooh it looks just like her Instagram' means alot! ... Thank you to the traveller who said that this week. Both Hannah and I are in store today

19.01.2022 Oh baby guess what? MY BUSINESS IS EXPANDING There is something very special in business when you realise you have a special connection with the local community and for me the support from the Shoalhaven & surrounds plus my online family have enabled me to continually grow and lucky to be able to say I have been given permission to knock through the wall in my shop through to the shop next to me. ... A few of you would have seen me ducking in and out which I have been using as storage but now the wall is coming down and there will be MORE ROOM..... don't tell @hannahschofiel that that means more stock So I have few surprises that I want to do in the 2nd space and like my current shop I drew the plan in my head and it came out perfectly. Here's hoping it works again. So thank you for supporting me to get me to here and being able to bring you beautiful gifts for your family. 19.01.2022 Owning a retail shop is so much fun but the work NEVER ends. I have to force myself to stop work. 12 hours today, new window display, pulling orders, re-stock shelves all before 9.30am, finish at 7pm to ensure shop is clean, new photos for content, orders packed and scanned in for Monday- to make my morning that little bit easier. Tonight - insta posts/stories, pay bills, add atleast 2 invoices into the website. ... BUT I wouldn't change it. I love my shop. My 3rd baby. I don't shy away from hard work. I thrive on it. I thrive on your responses when you arrive in my shop and do a dance with every order I get. Life is good

18.01.2022 Something about going camping in the middle of nowhere and being able to switch off. Toasted marshmallows for breakfast, teaching the girls how to light a fire, set up tents, back to basic cooking, late nights, Uno by the fire, Kayaking up the Shoalhaven River, star gazing at night and wondering if that Wombat is getting in the tent each night and for me, switching off and going back to reading books. Love family time like this. Making memories for the girls and hearing ho...w funny they are and pushing them out of their comfort zone. 12.01.2022 Sometimes I think how AMAZING it would be to have two shops but then I realise how lucky I am to have one OUTSTANDING one. I made a decision last week that I wouldn't go ahead with a 2nd shop. I don't want to spread myself thin for my current one, my website, my fans and my family. ... I'm already stressed out enough I want to be available for everyone and not to the point where my business name doesn't show Kate in the business. I don't want debt where I have to then put prices up to pay for stock and rent. That's not me. I'm going to focus all my energy on my beautiful shop, my new website and have all the trimmings and my gift boxes - in theory that's 3 separate businesses already. I know so many of you want me to expand to your home towns but I just can't. I want to stay in business and not go under because I went too big. Next year I'd like to focus on my own range.... now that's pretty exciting. Thanks for reading to the end

08.01.2022 Some of you may have seen my failed shopping experience today. I had so much hope to buy some nice new winter clothes today - to be left very disappointed. Where has all the nice fashion gone?... I'm not a size 6 or 8, I'm a 12-14, yet there seems to be nothing available! I am taller, squishy belly, BIG boobs, yet nothing fits. Why is a 12 not a 12. Why is a 14 not a 14. Why aren't clothes made all the same size? Oh how I wish being nude was socially acceptable! You may start to see me coming to work in my pj's.... I'm going to try out @birdsnestonline.....heard good things. Comment below for other mums to get ideas on where to shop.

06.01.2022 How's everyone feeling about school going back this week? I've loved having the girls around but they are so ready to go back and see their friends. Parents with little ones starting school, how do you feel?

06.01.2022 So funny dream last night..... Prince William and Kate came to Australia with their kids. They were brought to Nowra. North Nowra to be exact, my house. I mean why not? ... Anyway, they were dropped out the front of my house on my quiet street, they didn't knock it was just 'come in' call out from me. Inside shoes were kicked off and a full baked dinner was prepped by me with a Christmas vibe. All the little neighbourhood kids had come in through my backdoor and were lined up to cuddle Kate and got to look at her gorgeous engagement ring. A couple of hours later we were all outside and the kids were climbing my grapefruit tree barefoot. Now here's the kicker....I asked if they were ready for tea which they said yes to but all I had was good old Woolworts Chai powder tea. They politely declined. I'd love to know the rest but I woke up. Devastated as I want to know what happened next! I think this just proves I don't do well on too much sleep. Hope you had a giggle.

05.01.2022 When I get the chance to talk serious one on one conversations with customers and friends in the shop, alot of honesty comes through. We can all put on a face to show things are all OK when they are not. But when we open up and trust people a venerable side comes through. I struggle to show vulnerability and act like everything is ok, but some days are super hard. I had a lady come in yesterday and tell me she went to her doc to get help after our conversation last wee...k. I had a friend come in to say hi and we ended up in a full on conversation about what had happened to her whilst she was married. You can see the relief on someone's face as they tell you what's happening. When someone says they're fine, they may not be and might need a bit more time to tell you but keep asking. Trust your gut instinct. Have a lovely day x K

05.01.2022 Having Hannah is like having a personal assistant.... and it's AMAZING Each Wednesday she collects my girls from school and takes then to their arvo appointments (my kids absolutely adore Hannah and she's younger in age with them so they 'get eachother') She reminds me of appointments, when to move my car and what messages I have. ... I'd be so lost without her.

05.01.2022 Anyone else pretty much done nothing this long weekend? It's actually been refreshing to have a few days off to relax, sit outside, go to the beach and have day naps. Come tomorrow though, I won't stop now until Christmas. It's going to ramp up and no rest for the wicked. ... Bring it on! See you this week

There was a bit of cuteness between these two last year and he said to Ruby 'that he really liked her' and they held hands in yoga Today he saw Ruby and asked if he could carry her bags ... Then she saw him outside the shop and she was all shy but the BIGGEST SMILE EVER and blushing It's honestly the most beautiful thing to watch. Can you remember your first crush? 02.01.2022 Who's coming in today? I'm finally working my first shift in two weeks! School holidays, website meetings and interviews have kept me super busy! Wonder what new goodies have arrived in the last two weeks!

01.01.2022 41 is pretty awesome. I have been sooo spoilt today and it's been wonderful. Hubby and kids made sure I was well loved this morning with help from @aldoussarah. ... Hannah and @_sharnxo made my morning in the shop. @amandacolerichardson made my lunch ever so special and @pontebaranddining for my cocktails x I've had do many cocktails for a Friday lunch and about to have a nap for my dinner outing tonight.
