25.01.2022 Stubble burning is occurring around here and driving home from birthday celebrations last night I couldn’t get hubby to stop the car quick enough to snap a few shots. As intense as this looks it very quickly died down once it’s fuel had burnt, literally went from looking like a raging inferno to almost out in the blink of an eye. ... Added to the excitement for our very over sugered children in the backseats who have only memories of livestock properties with us and have little experience with broad acre cropping practices- made for an educational drive the rest of the way whether they were interested or not. 20.01.2022 2021....I’m not going to say it’ll be the best year ever or any of that bs but I’m still going to have a good hard crack at making the most of it. A hot day near an alpine stream is not a bad start. Fun fact: today 7 years ago I got married, still married too. ... Looks like I suckered him good and proper - took us 7 years to get hitched, proof that you should never rush a good thing. Anyone else crazy enough to have been married in an Aussie summer?

12.01.2022 Look behind you.... I’ve read a few articles from photographers about turning around in those golden and blue hour times because the east vs west views can be so contrasting. This was driving home Saturday evening, we spotted a small glimpse of a rainbow over a hill- just happened to be a road there so we pulled in. The sun was setting and lit up the sky behind me so it was a 2 for 1 stop as far as photos go!... I was for once grateful for the sugar high my kids were on from attending a friends birthday party as they chatted to me the whole way home. We also stopped to grab some more stubble burning pictures too, I think about the 4th or 5th stop they requested we just get home please.
