I first met Maddie in March 2020 when she was doing some research for her sister Ashley, who at the time was living in the UK, but returning to Australia late 2020 with her British fiancé Dan ahead of their 2021 wedding. ... Cue Covid who stuffed up all of Ashley & Dan’s plans, as his family are all in the UK; but now Maddie is engaged herself, and I’m so looking forward to getting her & James married this September!! 05.01.2022 LOIS THE PIONEER This weekend I took a quick break from meeting fabulous couples, writing ceremonies, and event managing at Broadway Chapel; to attend the ‘I Do’ exhibition at Queensland Museum @qldmuseum and it was simply divine. I loved the history of all the gowns and other artifacts, but especially loved reading the story of Lois D’Arcy, Australia’s first appointed Civil Celebrant.
