24.01.2022 What a day, it has been hectic and incredible and I am beside myself with excitement! The Artful Business Handmade Summit began today and our first amazing speaker @shannon_thethrivefactor dropped some knowledge bombs on us! It was so good. There was a bit of craziness with a few glitches but that's always expected. I finally bit the bullet and bought myself a new desk chair which I am super excited for. And most excitedly, while listening to the Summit, I got confirmation... that I will be a stall holder at the Yarra Valley Wool and Handicrafts Show, hosted by @theaussieknittingco . All the feels. But also nerves because I now have about 6 weeks to stock a market stall. I have some stock but certainly not enough for a show! Yet! So if you see me in the next 6 week's and I'm not crocheting, something is wrong. 21.01.2022 I would love to post this photo with a lovely happy caption and a funny cute story of the week. However, it has been a shit of a week. 3 out of 4 kids have been sick with a cold and 2 of those 3 have been up multiple times each night this week. We had planned to be away for the night at a gorgeous 5 star hotel for a good friends wedding, but thought it was a bit rough to dump a 5 month old with a cold on the grandparents. So Lewis tagged along too. The universe is throwing ...all the challenges in to the mix as hubby is back at work next week and reality will come knocking with solo school runs and the usual life juggle. It has been an incredible 5 and a half months of having hubby on long service leave, and the kids have loved having Daddy home too! So the next month will be interesting to see how life goes getting back into a routine! Fellow Mums... hit me with your hot tips on how to keep the brain from frying with remembering all the things! 13.01.2022 Making time for me and my own goals... Well, this was a fail. Lewis was up at midnight and again at 4.30 last night because well, #babies. So I figured at that point I could get another hour sleep and feel like dirt when I wake up again, or I could grab my laptop and do some #writing. I enjoyed a solid 20 minutes of brainstorming and brain dumping before Little Miss came barging out of bed half asleep, cuddled up and went back to sleep. So I fully enjoyed a solid hour cudd...ling on the couch, but I think I will have to adjust when will be best for me to get some solid uninterrupted me time to work on my passions. . 05.01.2022 These days crocheting around the kids consists of sitting with stage 5 clinger Lewis while he learns to sit by himself, usually surrounded in toys and crumbs and random clothes that Paige changes into during the day. Fun times. But I guess it's better than having to go and work out if the house. Even though today after all the screaming Paige did I would happily work out of the home.

04.01.2022 It feels so good to find something you really enjoy making. Even better when it's a quick and easy make that I can make in between kids tantrums and making dinner without getting lost. This yarn from @sheepshedyarns is incredible!! I have bought from Jane a number of times and her service and products only get better and better! These colours are life!!! 02.01.2022 Seriously, why must the kids demand to be fed day after day. I would love to have a cook and a cleaner and a chauffeur so I could just crochet each day away, but you know that's life. And I suppose the kids do many life pretty fun and interesting. Time to pause the crochet and catch up on real life for a few hours! Are you any good at ignoring the housework in favour of the things you would rather be doing?

02.01.2022 Sunday is the day for daydreaming... I type as I work away on a Sunday! But I am absolutely loving working again! I am loving that I found a job I can work 100% from home, with a fellow Mum who understands those days and weeks that just turn to shit like last week did. I am loving that I am exercising my brain and taking on some responsibilities that aren't centred around my little humans. I am loving that I can learn new things and stretch myself. And even though this is n...ot the 'working from home dream' I initially had in mind, I am loving my life. I get to work on my long term crochet business dreams while still earning actual money to contribute to our family but being here for the kids as I need to be. My wonderful boss @itselleroberts said this during a video call and I stopped immediately to write it down. It's so true and I am certainly guilty of doing this. Seeing the dreams or lives of others on social media and just adopting them as my own because everyone else has that dream. But it just didn't fit for me! Now, I am being sure to personalise my dreams, business goals and money goals to our family and our lives. I don't need to hustle for 10K a month, I just need to cover our mortgage which is much much less than that! Have you ever 'caught' a dream or a goal off social media? See more
