21.01.2022 Did you know next week is Child Abuse Awareness week? Please help support a group of over 78 people, including me, who will be attempting six world records to raise awareness and donations for the work ChildSafe do on the 9th and 10th January. 1. Individual Longest Continual Time Record... 2. Two teams x Ski Erg 24 Hour Team Record - Large Team 3. 24 Hour Team Record - Small Team Men's 4. 24 Hour Team Record - Small Team Women's 5. Row 24 Hour Team Record - Large Team 6. Ski Erg 24 Hour Team Record - Large Team The goal is to not only complete the six world records but to raise $25,000 for ChildSafe and help them continue the vital work they do in the community. In Australia, one child is physically, emotionally or sexually abused every 16 minutes. 32,000 children are abused every year, usually by adults they have been taught to trust. It takes an average of 25 years for victim-survivors to disclose if they were sexually abused and usually by that time, adult depression, aggression, hostility, anger, fear, anxiety disorders, personality disorders, PTSD and CPTSD are well entrenched. 43% of children that are sexually abused attempt to commit suicide later in life. Childsafe focus on education and training for individuals, schools and clubs so people can be aware of the signs of child abuse, with prevention and education being the key. Help ChildSafe continue the great work they do by donating through the gofundme link below. If you would like to come and support, the event kicks off at 9am Saturday January 9th at ACTV Strength Co. 25/2 Calabro Way, Burleigh Heads, QLD. Let's do this! https://gofund.me/6c898c80
