25.01.2022 Newcastle Cruising Yacht Club are inviting Veterans to participate in a Twilight Sailing Evening on the 9th February. As this is the first event, it is only ope...n to Veterans as numbers are limited. Participants are to arrive at 4pm to check in and for a quick briefing and an introduction to the skippers. The adventure starts and finishes in the harbour but goes offshore. It takes about 1.5hrs. Everyone is welcome back to the club for socialising and a presentation and the restaurant will be open if you are hungry. Life jackets will be provided on the day, but please ensure that clothing is appropriate for the weather on the night and if it looks like rain, pack a waterproof jacket as we will still be sailing! For more information or to register your place please email [email protected] #vsamovement #adventuretime

14.01.2022 Love seeing people in the community come together like this!

07.01.2022 I attended the dedication of the Remembrance Lawn at the Cathedral this morning. A result of the hard work of Newcastle RSL, members from Bullecourt Barracks and the War Widows Guild. A really lovely place for reflection and remembrance, open for all, in the heart of Newcastle. I planted crosses for the names close to my heart.
