24.01.2022 With a little babe on the way, life admin is at an all time high and I just realised it's been over a month since I've shared anything from the beautiful sessions I've been shooting... oops! 21.01.2022 Being relatively fresh to Newcastle, it's so nice to feel like you're really starting to settle in and make it a home. Funnily enough, Instagram has played a surprising role in that it has allowed me to reach out and meet people who I would have otherwise never known. 16.01.2022 It's official... one month until maternity leave! Typing that statement is beyond surreal and mixed emotions are starting to set in about how excited and unprepared I feel all in the one crazy emotional bundle. It is so strange to think that in one month I'll be popping the camera down for the longest time since I can remember. It's been glued to my hip nearly everyday for what feels like forever and will be replaced for a short time with a new little friend that w...ill be glued to my hip... permanently! Holy moly! I aim to be back and shooting in a few months (not sure if that's a little optimistic!), but in the meantime, if you've been putting off contacting me about a session you best get in quick! 11.01.2022 How times are changing... I've put so much effort into updating my website of late and less focus on Instagram. But silly me, I forgot that's not the way the world works anymore! I actually had someone ask me the other day if I do newborn sessions... I was like "what the?!... yes!!". Newborn sessions have always been one of my favourites and what I started to build my business on. I was so shocked! Then I looked at my Instagram and it clicked... I have posted hardly anything newborn shots. My bad! Thanks world... Time to get my s#!t together!

08.01.2022 Walking away from a session like this one just makes you feel so damn happy inside. Katie + Michael were the dream couple... no fuss, just happy to listen to my advice before the session and go with the flow. It made for such a relaxed afternoon and you can really tell when you look through the images. This session was late afternoon on one of THE windiest days, but they didn't even question me once I said we will work with the wind. They had a friend come alo...ng to look after their 4 month old (who wasn't stoked about being in a windy park at 6pm on a Saturday night... and rightly so! ) they were organised, chilled and took everything in their stride. When I ask them to walk through some metre high dodgy looking grass they just went for it and actually spent the session enjoying just being together... and I am so stoked with the results! Everyone always asks what they can do before a session and all I ever ask is that you are relaxed and actually enjoy being in moment that is happening with your partner. 06.01.2022 It's such a special thing to be able to capture your friend's families. In most sessions with new clients, as fun as you make it, they still see you as somewhat of a stranger and they need to be on their best behaviour. However, this kid just sees me as Aunty Skate. She is hilariously cheeky and she runs like the freakin' wind. Getting her actually in the frame and somewhat still is a feat in itself. 04.01.2022 This was the very last shot of the day. After shooting all around the farm, Angela's father in law mentioned there was an attic upstairs and I should check it out... safe to say there weren't too many keen faces in the room. The spiral staircase (the worst kind of staircase for someone scared of heights and a secret bump in tow) was tight and I was holding on for dear life. 04.01.2022 Does anyone else feel a little off when posting images of themselves to Instagram? Well... let me tell you... apparently there are 25 million business profiles on Instagram. And you know what's going to set you apart from the bunch... YOU! If you're not convinced, I dare you to try it! Post a photo showing you, the person behind the brand and watch your insights blow up! That's proof in itself. ... Your audience will always connect with the person, not the name. Clearly this is a case of "do as I say, not as I do" BUT I got myself out there and had a Branding Session and I cannot recommend it enough! It was slightly terrifying but once I was in it... be it 20 mins in... I finally relaxed and managed to have an awesome time and get some epic content to share with you!
