25.01.2022 Yesterday was my cousin @thomas_allann & @britt_moritz wedding and I took about two photos! I was too busy having an epic time and had no idea where my phone was but my mate Kyal got this snap of me perched at the @elderberryeventhire mobile container bar! It was such an awesome set up & the team nailed it! Such an amazing celebration for two beautiful people that have found their forever person! 22.01.2022 Today I feel sad, flat, annoyed, angry... all of the emotions. If you are feeling like this, that is okay, especially those of you in Victoria. You are allowed to feel this way, what is happening around us is massive! . I feel sad for myself working in health and knowing the enormous task ahead and the feeling that we are ‘pushing shit uphill’. . I also feel sad for my couples, those who have had to change the plans for their dream wedding and those in limbo land.... . I am angry, so very angry at those who have been doing the wrong thing and making this whole situation worse for those doing the right thing. Like so angry I want to punch you all in the face and I’ve never punched anyone in my life. . But I am also so incredibly thankful and grateful to the majority of people who have been doing the right thing! I can’t wait to catch up with you good people, hug you and share a drink with you when we can! Keep safe, healthy and look after those around you. . 13.01.2022 Well 2020 you’ve been interesting but we’ve survived! My last wedding of the year was a cheeky elopement with @elopementsbythesea and it was simply amazing! . 2020 has thrown challenges left right and centre, wedding died in the ass thanks to Covid, I started a new business venture with two legends @handzaroundvideophotography thanks to Covid, I was scared shitless to go to work as a nurse thanks to Covid, I completed a post grad in cancer nursing (thanks to Covid because I w...asn’t juggling it with a social life or I might not have survived), I’ve realised what friends have my back and always will thanks to Covid and the effort you had to make to stay in touch, I missed out on a wedding in Germany and 4 weeks in Europe with my folks.... you get the picture. This year was full of big highs and big lows for everyone but I feel like we will be stronger and more resilient because of it! . 11.01.2022 I miss giving my couples a big ol’ hug after the ceremony to congratulate them! BUT it’s still so amazing to be doing what I love and being able to marry loved up couples- even if ceremonies are a little smaller and I can’t squish them after! 09.01.2022 REAL TALK! . Today the sun was shining and yes I was loving it but I was also feeling pretty shitty! . Feeling shitty for my beautiful couples that are postponing, those in limbo land and tbh feeling shitty for myself cause it’s a Saturday and I can’t see my friends.... I know everyone is in the same boat just getting by day to day! My friends are honestly what fill my love cup, they make me smile, laugh and are always helping me create epic memories and stories! . I didn’t want to let that ruin my day and I had a zoom booked in with some of my rad Celebrant friends so I put on some make up, a pink lip, funky earrings and a fun dress (along with my ISO brows & regrowth) and enjoyed a couple of wines, lots of laughs and shared some stories!
