17.01.2022 Starting life as a tribute to Keith Flint of the Prodigy, I wasn't really happy with the vibe of the painting, and decided to paint over it this week. Earlier in the week, it was starting to look very flowy and organic, and also a little edgy and consequently, disjointed, so today I decided to choose edgy. As a result, it turned into this. I call it "Scourge."

This piece started off very wild, and then Ive come back in and am trying to make sense of the composition by increasing the values and just seeing what wants to come through. Its a fascinating process of balancing the heart and head, and Im enjoying it immensely. Still very much a #workinprogress.

This piece started off very wild, and then I've come back in and am trying to make sense of the composition by increasing the values and just seeing what wants to come through. 04.01.2022 This weekend was the best! I spent an inspiring weekend eating, painting and meditating at Tara Hills with the team from Splashout Art Studios . Krysia and Gaynor were amazing hosts, helping us all to feel welcome and organising a fantastic weekend for a friendly bunch of artists. I enjoyed trying plein air painting for the first time, chasing shadows and swatting bugs, and we did a guided meditation every morning - good for the soul. So relaxing! In the past, it has slowed me to the point of stopping my practice, which is really not good for me, or my loved ones! ...
