22.01.2022 Good evening to all parents, families and caregivers. Tomorrow will see us embark on a very different style as we deliver the kindergarten program in two ways. A small number of children will be attending the kindergarten on site program while others will be staying and learning from home. This is a brand new experience for all of us and I trust that you will be patient with us as we develop this program and build our online and zoom skills. For this to be successful can I ...please ask all current families to please join our private families only Facebook page. This will be one point of call where we will update what is happening. We ask all families to please remember that our program is play based and built upon the Qld Kindergarten Curriculum Guidelines. I am excited by the prospects of what this will mean as we bring kindy into your homes. If you have any questions please, as always, contact me via this page, our private parent page, phone or email. Kind regards and stay safe Megann, Lyn, CarLee and Josie See more
22.01.2022 We were so excited and honoured to welcome Camerata to Kindy today. Brendan, Clare, Anna, Catherine and Marion formed a string quintet and shared their music with the children. The children were entranced by the sounds of the violins, viola, cello and double bass playing so many styles of music. A big thank you is extended to the individual musicians as well as Qld's Chamber Orchestra for choosing our kindergarten to visit on their tour. Our children have enjoyed revisiting this experience all through out the day. This tour is made possible with the generous support of the Tim Fairfax Family Foundation and the Queensland Government through Arts Queensland.
22.01.2022 Next Tuesday and Wednesday are photo days!! More info to come as soon as I have it.
20.01.2022 We are so excited that tomorrow will see all our kindy children back. We must remind you all however that normal social distancing rules and hygiene still apply. As of tomorrow the following guidelines apply to all families: # The sign/out book will now be on the verandah table in the morning and afternoon. You must bring your own pen to sign your child in and out. # Social distancing rules apply. Families are asked to limit the number of people who are dropping/picking up.... There will be easily identifiable spaces on the ground for you to wait patiently. # Families are asked to stagger drop offs and pick ups. Please do not stand in groups within the kindergarten grounds. # Educators will meet your kindy child at the door and assist them to say good bye and put away their belongings. # Please remember the kindergarten children do NOT need to use the hand sanitiser at the front door. They will wash their hands immediately upon arrival using soap. We understand that these are big changes to the way we conventionally welcome our children and families. We thank you for working with us and supporting us to keep the children, our educators and all of our families healthy. See more

12.01.2022 Dear families, It has been a very confusing time for everyone as we continue to manage the unprecedented coronavirus and its impact on our service. At this time I can tell you that the Kath Dickson Family Centre along with C&K support that our service will be running as normal for all families who wish their children to attend. Please keep in mind that any child exhibiting signs of illness are kept at home as is normal policy. This is for the continual health and safety of... all children and educators. We also support those families who have made the decision to keep their children home at this time. We have our normal hygiene practices in place as well as additional practices such as restricting unnecessary visitors to the kindergarten, the cessation of all excursions, temperature monitoring and the continual education of our little ones in appropriate hygiene practices. We continue to take our guidance and recommendations from Qld Health and all relevant authorities. As always if you have any questions or concerns I am available on 46621078 (this number will transfer through to my mobile after hours) or Facebook messenger. Take care Megann Rummell Director/Teacher See more

03.01.2022 Good Morning everyone! I am just about to upload our very first good morning video onto our private parent page (please forgive the quality...there will be no awards for filmmaking in my near future). Obviously there are some IT bugs to work out but we are so excited to still be connected with you all. We invite all families to please send in videos, photos, etc to us at any stage so that we can continue to remain connected during this time. As our program continues we will ...be offering a range of at home learning opportunities for our children. Make sure you pop over now to the parent page for our good morning session. We will be uploading a favourite story very soon as well. We cant wait to connect with you all on ZOOM very soon. Miss Megann See more
