11.01.2022 This memory just popped up in my newsfeed and, in many ways, the comments resonate today. Happy Sunday everyone - a beautiful day here in Hobart town - enjoy! ‘’In September 2007 the Hobart Myer store burned down. We watched the first plume of smoke rising from the centre of the city and I remember thinking 'this can't be good'! A few days later I walked through Liverpool and Murray Streets looking up at the scorched facades and paint peeling from the ci...ty's amazing architecture. I overheard many commenting at just how beautiful these Hobart buildings are and I thought 'What a shame it takes something like this to force people to stop, look and appreciate what we take for granted most of the time'. Nature is just like that so........thought for the day - stop, look, breathe and appreciate as much as you can.
