07.01.2022 Local Katherine Traffic Controllers
07.01.2022 Nathan & Julianne Swan along with all team members of Swan Traffic Management would like to express their deepest sympathies to the family and friends of Victor Birt. Vic was a valued member of our Swan Traffic Management family and very respected and well known throughout the Traffic Management industry in WA. 12 years ago, when Nathan was the supervisor of Pavement Technology/Downer Works he had the privilege of meeting Vic who was traffic controlling on the Marble Bar roa...d for a local Port Headland Company. They crossed paths many times on different projects when he was requested by Nathan and formed a working relationship and a mutual respect. 13 months ago, STM were working a project in the Midwest and having difficulties with experience on a crew. It was vital to find the key Crew Leader to complete the project and Victor came to mind. This was the start of Vic’s journey with Swan and within a short time due to his dedication and commitment proved to have the capabilities of a supervisor. Some 6 months later, Vic’s son Nic came on board and they worked side by side as a dynamic duo. Vic was definitely one of nature’s gentleman. He was an extremely dedicated family man. He dearly loved his family and was idolised by his children who he was so proud of. With his caring nature he was always on hand to offer his support, knowledge and expertise. He will always be remembered for his heart of gold and happy smile. There was never a more encouraging and supportive co-worker than Vic. Our condolences, love and support are with Vic’s family at this time. Please know that you are in our thoughts as you grieve his loss. Vic was a remarkable man and everyone at Swan Traffic are better for having known him. He will be sadly missed for many years to come. It would be greatly appreciated if everyone could dig deep in support of Vic’s family. gf.me/u/zguqt8
