18.01.2022 Mortlake Public School had a moving and beautiful ceremony this morning for the opening of their Bush Tucker Memorial Garden. Officials were invited from the local Canada Bay area, Concord RSL, school principal Elizabeth Bransgrove and previous school principal Jacqui Attard, school student leaders and parents. Earlier in the week when rain threatened to potentially spoil the opening on the day, I offered my photographic services to use the photos for a slideshow if the serv...ice was to be in the school hall in the case of rain. Here are some of the photos taken. The garden has been planned with Australian native plants and as an added tribute, pavers with the names of family descendants who have formerly and are currently serving the Australian national services have been laid around the perimeter of the garden's entrance and walkway. One very special and incredible addition is a small Lone Pine that has come all the way from Gallipoli. It was grown from a seedling and was given to the school by the Concord RSL five years ago. This now sits in front of the 'Bench of Reflection' in the garden. The ceremony included my wonderful little singing students and the beautiful senior choir led by Lydia Burjen.
17.01.2022 3 months ago, I had the privilege of photographing Australia's elite vocalists, musicians and orchestra who were involved in the music recordings for the TV telemovie 'PETER ALLEN - Not the Boy Next Door'. It's s a two-part Australian miniseries about music legend Peter Allen. Not photographed, but most important to the lead characters, are THE vocalists who provided their fabulous voices to the songs and doing a remarkable job. They are Melanie Parry as the singing voice of... Judy Garland and Angela Toohey as Liza Minelli. It's making it's TV debut and Part 1 is screening tonight from 8.30pm - 10.30pm on Channel 7. Part 2 screens next Sunday 20th at 8.30 - 10.30pm. Being a professional vocalist also, I was in my element and in awe of all that were involved under the expertise of Ashley Irwin (Music Producer and Score Composer) and Russell Finch (Sound recording and Mixing Engineer). Make sure you catch this fantastic production featuring NIDA graduate Joel Jackson as Peter Allen, Ky Baldwin as Young Peter Allen Sara West as Liza Minnelli Rebecca Gibney as Marion Woolnough (Allen's mother) Sigrid Thornton as Judy Garland Henri Szeps as Dee Anthony Nick Farnell as Dick Woolnough Andrew Lees as Gregory Connell Rob Mills as Chris Bell.
17.01.2022 The Inner West Institute of Music had their annual half-yearly concert with a special celebration for Nelly Jacono who was celebrating 50 years of teaching piano and music. I had the privilege of photographing this very special concert which was filled with amazing talented children, older students and some parents who have joined lessons themselves to learn something new and accompany their own children learning at IWIM. Congratulations to IWIM founder Victoria Jacono-Gilmovich, her husband John Gilmovich and all teachers for another wonderful concert at the Canada Bay Club in Five Dock.
16.01.2022 The very beautiful & elegant Miss Sarah Aracella celebrated her high school graduation on Thursday last week. I had a lot of fun with her on this shoot as she was happy to let go in front of the camera which made for an array of great photos with her beautiful family and gorgeous school friends. She's a natural in front of the lens as the photos will show.

13.01.2022 It was a fantastic and well deserved celebration for Nelly Jacono at the Inner West Institute of Music half-year concert on Sunday. Nelly was celebrating 50 years of teaching the piano and the first two concerts of the day were dedicated to her with the majority of her students performing. Nadia Koudasheva (a former student of Nelly's) came back to perform a piece especially for the occasion which was flawless and quite amazing.... Congratulations Nelly Jacono. You are one amazing and sassy lady with a heart of gold and great humour to match. Your family, friends and students are very appreciative of your hard work and dedication spanning 50 years and I was honoured to be able to be a part of your celebration and capture these moments for you to remember always. 13.01.2022 Watch out for this young man ladies and gentlemen! Mr Adam Morris is an up and coming Sydney actor. We had an absolute laugh capturing the many faces and emotions of Mr Morris to add to his CV. It's a shoot of a different sort as we did capture the typical shots needed but those who know him know that he should be let loose to express himself in the most hilarious and wonderful ways! I had the absolute pleasure of being able to capture this. Thanks Adam - you have an awesome future ahead of you. X

11.01.2022 Lieutenant Chad Mapp has been overseas serving our country in the Middle East. His lovely family haven't seen their father and husband for quite a number of months now home for a 12 day break before returning. The highlight of this session at Sydney International Airport was when I spotted Lieutenant Mapp approaching in the distance and kept quiet without alerting them. We were all unaware that he had come out of another gate after coming through customs. It was an amazing moment to get these next series of candid shots as they were unaware of what was about to happen.

09.01.2022 I haven't seen my beautiful friend Pauline and her gorgeous family in about 3 years!! The last time I saw master MJ, he was only a tiny 1 year old! I was so excited and honoured to be asked to take the photos of her next long-awaited pregnancy. It was fantastic to catch up with you and Mark and master MJ. I'm really hoping we can catch up over the new year to continue some more photos in Qld by the beach! Love Kath xxxx
09.01.2022 Photo's I took for a teacher who brings an international group from America very year in September to see the resident Tawney Frogmouth's at a primary school here in Inner West Sydney. Every year they produce two offspring. They are brilliantly camouflaged and it was shoot where time and patience is essential as these birds are nocturnal and not much happens in the way of activity! They are very curious while awake and I was eyed and followed with my telephoto lens. Interesting to know that they are NOT related to the owl family as I was led to believe!
06.01.2022 I went to watch some very talented young U10's & U11'a soccer players from Cairns, FNQ last week. They were here in Sydney taking part in the first-of-its-kind 8-aside academy battle - Rizzo Academy Cup at Lambert Park, Leichhardt! Very impressive and I had the added bonus of already knowing one of these amazing kids - Ryan - no 21 :-) What an amazing opportunity for all involved. X

04.01.2022 What an incredible sunrise to start an amazing day :-o!! Today's mission is to photograph two of Australia's top talents - actor, singer & TV host Tom Burlinson and jazz songstress Emma Pask along with most of the original members of the Ed Wilson Band from the Daly Wilson Big Band over at Fox Studio's. This will be a 2 day shoot and I'm just a teeny bit excited to have this incredible opportunity. Robbie Williams' new song 'Love My Life' has been playing continuously through my head this morning as it's lyrical content is spot on! Xxxx
01.01.2022 We were invited to go and see French chanteuse Tricia last week at Foundry 161. For the whole 1 hour set, we listened and absorbed the beautiful sound and energy that this young lady exudes with her incredible and natural talent. Needless to say, we are BIG fans and have also become friends due to the friendship that our 10 year old daughter and Tricia struck up last year when we saw Tricia perfoming for the first time. Alongside Tricia were fabulous musicians Daniel Barnett ...on trombone, Sam Rollings on guitar, Phil Stack on upright bass who is also the bass guitarist from Thirsty Merc. "Tricia Evy is the real thing: she is not trying to be a jazz singer, she just is. And because it comes naturally she seems refreshingly ingenuous. Her voice is mellifluous and malleable, she improvises without the awkwardness that besets so many singers when they scat, and she has her own internalised buoyant swing (rather than being dependent on the band)."
