24.01.2022 Hi, all competing at Champs please remember to be at your event already warmed up. 35mins before for field events 20mins for relays and 15mins before a track event. Spikes must be carried to event and put on at the start. If you are a no show for an event the standard rule is you are scratched from all other events. 14.01.2022 2021 Inaugural Darren Peacock Memorial 1500m Handicap To celebrate running legend Darren Peacock, 2021 will see us hold the inaugural 1500m handicap race in hi...s memory at the NT Track & Field Championships. A Perpetual Trophy will be presented by his his wife Erin. Erin stated, "we think Darren would be honoured given the 1500m was one of his favourite events at NT Championships". Athletics NT Board President Shane Wylie said, "As a holder of 2 NT Records for this event, we felt it is a fitting tribute to his memory". The race will be held on Saturday 4th September 2021, at the beginning of the final session.

05.01.2022 A small but dedicated group of athletes from 8 and up competed in every event on offer in runs jumps and throws over the last 2 weeks. Some amazing sportsmanship, pbs and skills were on show. Thw teenagers continued to dominate with some fun close races and throws when pitted against their adult peers. Thank you to all who attended and competed cheered and helped throughout a difficult season. We got there in the end! Bring on NT Teams Challenge with our small group of enthusiastic athletes aiming for gold next weekend.

02.01.2022 Wanted, does anyone have a small container that can be donated to the Katherine Athletics Club for the duration of the sports ground rebuild. We have been provided 2 smaller bays but have to fit our equipment shed, office and kitchen into these 2 smaller bays and also have a functioning season, after inspection we may be able to fit everything in but it would be a tight fit of stock piling everything on top of each other and we are not going to be able to access the required equipment on a weekly basis to be able to run our club. Please let met know if you have anything or know of anything. Cheers Nic
