15.01.2022 Hi all, Sadly with the current covid19 prevention measures being implemented everywhere the Katherine Markets Committee have made a decision that the markets will suspend its trading until further notice. We will re-assess the situation in a couple of months. Some of the traders that sell at the markets also have online stalls, and we will make an effort to advertise those.... We are also hoping to assist any of our members wanting to create an online store but are unsure how to. We are currently looking into what resources might be practical to offer Stay tuned for more information.

15.01.2022 Hi all after much discussion the market committee have determined without the patronage of tourists, the operating expenses involved and the extra actions required in keeping the community safe that we cannot see the markets as a viable option for the remainder of the market season and we have decided to postpone the markets for this year. We will focus our attention on a 2 day Christmas market sometime in November 2020.

Katherine Community Markets have a Mega Raffle to raise funds to keep the markets going, active & alive for it's future and community members.Tickets are only $5 and available for puchase at The Saturday Markets, Red Cross office on Riverbank Drive or Katherine Tyrepower. Raffle will be drawn at the markets on Saturday 24th at Midday. Total donation value at over $600.00 ALL MARKET STALLS DONATED ITEMS TO SUPPORT THE FUTURE OF THE KATHERINE COMMUNITY MARKETS. The Katherine Community Markets committee meeting that was to be held late this afternoon has been postponed to tomorrow (Tuesday) The Red Cross building is being sprayed by the pest inspectors at 4pm and it is not safe afterwards for a few hours....
