25.01.2022 #1 AUTUMN SALE PRODUCT - FRESH PRODUCE WASH DID YOU KNOW THAT PUTTING YOUR FRUIT AND VEG UNDER RUNNING WATER DOES ABSOLUTELY NOTHING TO CLEAN IT? During the growing season they've been coated with pesticides that are designed to not wash off in the rain. And some produce is sprayed multiple times while it's being grown (like lettuce). So you buy organic - but perhaps you've not thought about who has touched your fruit and veg from the farm to the shop - you have NO IDEA what ...the state of the equipment or the hands that touched your produce is in! This is where Norwex Fresh Wash and our Veggie Cloth come to the rescue! Fresh Wash breaks down the biofilm on your produce so that your fruit and veg will last longer. It also breaks down the pesticides, fertilisers and waxy coating on your fruit and veg that can interfere with the flavour of your food and turn something that should be healthy into something that isn't so much! It also effectively removes bacteria, dirt and oil. I use my Veggie Cloth for tomatoes, potatoes, zucchini, cucumber, apples (though Fresh Wash breaks the waxy coating down beautifully), carrots, capsicum, celery, pear, pumpkin and melon skins. Wondering why melon skins? In the U.S. there was a case where E.coli on the skin of the melon was transferred to the inside while the fruit was being cut - unfortunately there were deaths in this situation. It's SO easy to run the Veggie Cloth over the skin! Fresh Wash I reserve for beans, snow peas, berries, lettuce, grapes, broccoli, cauliflower, stone fruit etc. The produce that you can't really wash effectively with the Veggie Cloth. To use, just dilute 15mls Fresh Wash in 2 cups of water (Some do a 2 litre batch of solution to wash all my produce in one go). Drain it on a Norwex Dish Mat (or 2). If the solution is not too dirty (or if you've made some up just to wash your strawberries in) it can be kept in the fridge for up to a week. This is what Karen Codrington who is a Sales Leader from the Hunter Region had to say about Fresh Wash recently. Last month I hadn’t washed my fruit in Norwex Fresh Produce Wash and my ten year old daughter asked as she was eating some strawberries Did you wash these? The very same day my husband commented on how waxy the apple was he took to work! This proved to me even more that the Norwex Fresh Wash actually makes a significant difference to the taste and aroma of my fruit. Not only that but it helps them to last longer and be much better for my family as the plant-based, biodegradable concentrate effectively removes unwanted chemical residue like fertilisers, wax, dirt, oil and bacteria. The all-natural formula contains no phosphates, sulphates or parabens. It is easy to use and washing your fruit and vegetables with Norwex Fresh Produce Wash as you unpack them is a really great habit to develop!
