25.01.2022 Time to start the rainbow toe conga line again for my sister Annie This colourful custom developed in 2012 at the start of her cancer diagnosis and when she shared a photo of her painted toes on her then blog ‘artistica domestica’, phalanges of the world United! It was contagious and people began sharing photos of their colourful feet from across the globe to show their support for ANNIE. Subsequently a book of ‘Rainbow Toes’ was compiled by her Shiny Happy Art friend Anna d...ocumenting this world wide salute of colour and love for her. I painted her toes again yesterday to get the ball rolling once more. Mothers, daughters, sisters, fathers, sons, pets even? Think of it as a summer pedicure. Colour is contagious! 06.01.2022 Fred came across a dazed and confused kingfisher at the shops this afternoon. Poor little thing looked so out of place and terrified against the concrete jungle. Busy shoppers stopped to see if the beautiful little creature was ok. Security guard even used his presence to guide pedestrians around the bird.
