24.01.2022 Gav and I would like to thank everyone for their undying support in our quest for paralympic gold and just know we wouldn't be here without it. We are very proud of how we have raced, we stuck to everything we have been practicing and unfortunately we were not fast enough to keep up with the amazing developments made by the other countries and athletes. With tears flowing down my face it's hard not to have the feeling of letting everyone down, and we apologize if we have. It ...is not just us that have sacrificed over the last 4 years to be here, but our loved ones, friends and families also. I am super proud to be here amongst the best in the world but most of all to be sharing this adventure with Gav who I feel honored to be here with. He is one amazing, courageous, stubborn, determined man who despite all the odds has never given up. He has always gotten the best out of me and as a team we have achieved so much. We are 3 times wold champions in one of the toughest sports in the world and nothing can take that away from us. So what does one team do when all seems lost......we wipe away the tears, dust ourselves off and pick up our oars one more time to give the last race of our lives coz we are Australian, because we are Paralympian's and because we are Gav and Kat!
