24.01.2022 Working together to create a masterpiece for our Spring wall

21.01.2022 Jewellery making is one of the most requested activities from the girls. Today we used wooden beads and plastic jewels to create beautiful bracelets and necklaces. Threading helps young children calm and focus, improving their hand-eye coordination. It also strengthens the hand and fingers, getting them ready for future writing.

21.01.2022 What a great day we had on Tuesday Celebrating the Melbourne Cup. We made some race horses and Melbourne Cup trophies and the girls enjoyed racing them around the house

14.01.2022 What a wonderful day we have had today! Extending on our Spring theme, we found inspiration from the very 'Funky Chicken' and made some very funky birds. The children enjoyed painting paper plates and sticking on eyes, felt beaks and pipe cleaner and sequin feathers. The girls discussed what they were going to name their birds, shared the materials and practiced patience while taking it in turns to use the tape and glue. This was a great activity to work on our fine motor and social skills and lots of fun.

14.01.2022 Rainy days call for painting and puzzles. The girls enjoyed tracing, cutting out and painting their hands to create beautiful lady beetles to add to our Spring wall.

07.01.2022 Cooking with children is fun, educational and enjoyable at any age. Together the girls made some delicious chocolate chip cookies. They were able to learn and practice some basic maths concepts by counting eggs, pouring ingredients into measuring cups and counting in sequence what came first, second and third. Build their language skills by introducing new words when reading the recipe together and explore their senses by kneading the dough, listening to the egg crack and feeling the different textures of the shell, white and yoke as it ran through their fingers, smelling the delicious cookies as they were cooking and finally tasting them fresh from the oven. We also worked on our listening and social skills as we practised following instructions and taking it in turns.
