As they became the bulk of the average American diet, treats evolved into something that passed for sustenance. Thus, for many kids, eating actual food that is devoid of added salt and sugar has become a form of punishment."

19.01.2022 +++ CLIENT LEGEND ALERT! +++ Peters story is nothing short of amazing - committing to the ultimate test on his body all for a great cause. I feel so privileged to have been a part of his journey and cant wait to hear all about his next run! High five Peter! :D "Last Summer I was approached by a charity that I have supported for many years and asked if I would like to run the London Marathon and help them raise much needed funds. I smoke moderately, drink a lot, exercise int...ermittently, am 50 years old and on a point of honour refuse to even walk more than 100 yards; I felt such an inappropriate request could only be answered with an enthusiastic yes! 2-3 months later I had transformed my health, physique, mental/emotional frame of mind and had found a new passion. The downside was that with 3 months to go I was struggling to maintain energy and at a loss as to how to align my diet with my training schedule. I had been watching Katie Bs Facebook posts for some time with increasing interest so decided to approach her with a request for help: increase my energy, build stamina, lose weight, prepare for a marathon and eat interesting food. Oh, and I work 60-70 hours a week and have 2 kids so long hours in the kitchen arent going to work. In short order I had been interviewed, asked to provide a report on my eating/energy/mood/sleep patterns and generally quizzed as to what I ate and why. The result was a fantastic 2 week diet packed full of just stunning dishes and ideas. Katie added intelligent insights on general preparation and ultimately pivotal advice on the days and weeks leading up to the marathon. The outcome was that I ran my first marathon, am set to run a 2nd one in October, and have 2 half marathons and the London 2017 run in my sights. More importantly the smoking and drinking, while still deliciously enjoyable, are now a very rare treat, coughing with a hangover is really not a good way to train! Ive re-engaged with my love of cooking (my dream as a kid was to become a chef) and now I cook every meal my kids and I eat from scratch. My diet has been totally revamped, I look in my shopping trolley now and theres nothing at all that is pre-cooked or prepared in any way. Running the marathon was one of the most fun things I have ever done, its nudged my life into some great new areas and I couldnt have completed it without the Katie B diet. That diet nudged me into other new fun areas so thank you so much Katie B on two fronts!"

04.01.2022 +++ PROTEIN DOESNT ALWAYS MEAN HEALTHY +++ Here is a prime example. This stuff really grinds my gears... Just because the packaging says its got 19g of protein in it doesnt eliminate the 33g of SUGAR it contains. The best and complete protein sources come from animals. Stick to those.... Theres no hidden sugar in steak. I can promise you that.
