21.01.2022 I’d like to introduce you to Ava which is derived from the Latin word for Bird. She came to me from under the nurturing wing of a beautiful lady named Robyn and... I promised I would love her just as she had. Robyn also happens to create nurturing herbal products including an immunity tea which I drink all day everyday. Robyn is @finchandwren and this is a little post to say Thank you for flying into my life and being a part of my health and happiness #finchandwren #vintagesewingmachine #singersewingmachine #industrialsewingmachine #vintage See more
20.01.2022 I’m making another Stitcher’s First Aid Kit using a Tim Holtz Eclectic Elements fabric. I have become aware that using a Red Cross symbol is prohibited and ther...efore I am tweaking the pattern. Any orders placed for the kit will come with the Tim Holtz fabric. The thread colours are not changing, only their position. So I am stitching away feeling like a right twit for assuming the Red Cross is a generic medical symbol. On a positive note, I am loving the new grey green cross #neverassume #katiedawsonstitched #cottagegardenthreads #cgt #retro #embroidery #firstaidkit See more

17.01.2022 The final installment of the Inky Stitches Jellyfish is now up on my website. I hope you've enjoyed stitching your Jellyfish and have maybe even tried a few stitches you haven't before. If you've stitched both the fox and the jellyfish, I'd love to hear if you've gone on to stitch any other illustrations in Johanna's colouring books or any other colouring books. 14.01.2022 You must be wondering if I had become lost out to sea never to return. In truth I have been wading through unfamiliar waters of Adrenal Fatigue. If you've been following me for a while you may have wondered if my constant excuses of being sick with colds, flus, tonsilitis and any number of other bugs was in fact ... fiction after all. 05.01.2022 A dream fulfilled I've been wanting an excuse to dress up as Rosie The Riveter for a long time and I finally had the chance last night. People that see me on a daily basis wouldn't see much of a difference between Rosie and what I wear everyday, I did have all the pieces of clothing in my cupboard already. I don't so much want to play the part of a glamorous war girl, it's Rosie's fighting spirit that I want to embody. [ 385 more words ] http://katiedawsonstitched.com.au/a-dream-fulfilled-an-arr/
04.01.2022 Hello friends, It's been an age of dreaming about having my sewing crown immortalized in a pin (a brooch for those of you not in the know that pin is the new vernacular for brooch) I quite like a brooch only because I like to pronounce it phonetically and elongated with a true Aussie twang, so I'll leave it with you to decide if you'd like to don my modern sewing crown pin or more traditional sewing crown broooooch. 02.01.2022 Tea, coffee or hot chocolate? Red, white or brew? The one thing we all have in common is needle and thread.
