24.01.2022 Let’s take a minute to get a little real. Sometimes self care as a mum is a tiny bit impossible. It’s wonderful to read about all the ways you can ‘take a break’ and ‘pamper yourself’ - but the reality of life doesn’t always match up to that. Sometimes (most of the time HA!), Self-Care is the time you snatch for yourself between moments. It’s the minutes you claw back despite the millions of demands on your time.... Tonight, self care for me is sitting on my front steps for a few minutes kid free. So don’t think you have to do a big and grand gesture to participate in self care. Look for opportunities that you can grab throughout the day and take them. Catch them with both hands and clutch them to your chest tightly. You deserve to be the best version of you, and your family deserves it too. You cannot be that if you never recharge. Snatch those moments Mamas, you are worth it. 12.01.2022 It’s R U OK DAY today. I’ve been the person who has NOT been ok. I’ve been the person who didn’t want to seek help because I was too ashamed and thought I should be able to cope. But I wasn’t OK and I couldn’t cope. Getting help has changed my life. ... I had to come to breaking point to realize that it’s ok to not be ok.
