21.01.2022 Current read is about Transcendental Meditation by @meditationbob I’m looking at learning .... well more than that. I am booked to do the training. Has anyone done the work? Thoughts?

21.01.2022 Training in Massage, Reflexology, Indian Head Massage and Beauty meant that I always understood the importance of caring for our body. Reflexology in particular fascinated me as you could really see how every part of your body and mind is connected. You can pin point shoulder pain just under the little toes on the sole of the foot..... a reflexology session can release emotions that have been pushed deep down inside. As some of you know I fractured a toe in November - apparen...tly a simple 6 week recovery was all that was needed. Unfortunately this was not the case for me. I thought it was but then apparently this trauma actually triggered something else, showing symptoms of Raynauds and something called CRPS I have been hobbling around for months. It was the second doctor that I saw at my local surgery that helped. She actually, like me, wanted to investigate and find out what was going on rather than fobbing me with off 'some rest'. I was referred to a Podiatrist / Surgeon who specialises in this area and it was he, who has helped me understand what is happening. What I loved was that he actually gave a Holistic prescription for me. A combination of foot baths, self massage (brushing up on my reflexology skills), heated wheat packs and acupuncture. ..... oh and I have to wear warm fluffy socks and stop walking around on my floor boards bare foot....oops When chatting to my doctor about it, I asked the question WHY?? Why has this happened? Am I stressed? what did I do to bring this on? She simply said that these things happen and I am not to blame myself. I do think she is right and I shouldn't blame myself but my inqusitve Holistic Self wants to understand why... I do think the body cries out sometimes, telling you that something is not right and that you need to stop and listen. I know I pushed too hard. RETREAT 360 is a holistic approach to achieving Wellness in your Life. I don't believe we can treat the mind without treating the body and soul. I pride myself on being a Holistic Wellness Coach where I combine all the learnings through my life so that I can treat you as whole. X

19.01.2022 The look of love! I obviously said Treat, Walk, Food or Bed I’m a fur baby mum and decided not to become a human mum. The decision was not an easy one and actually the hardest part was telling people as they would question the choice and say things like ‘but you would be a great mum’! I always just thought I would have kids, just like I thought I would get married and probably buy a house one day. It’s funny how we are programmed with this little list isn’t it? ... I never really questioned this list but then I hit my 30’s and had to address the children question. My husband has taught me to question things and I’m so glad he did as now I always question what I do so that I am doing it for the right reasons. It started with Why do you want kids? It’s a hard one to answer funnily enough. The reason being is that the decision is really an emotional one I think. Trust me, I googled it a lot I also realised that when I looked at what I wanted to achieve and how I wanted to live my life it just didn’t seem like children would fit and essentially I didn’t want to make my children’s life hard. Over my life so far I have also been very good at doing things just to keep the peace and make others happy but inside I knew I didn’t want to do them. I think the most important thing I have learned, especially over the years in my 30’s, is that you don’t always have to do what everyone else is doing. You can make your own choices, your own list and do what is right for you in your life whether that’s have ten kids or no kids. To all all the non mums, fur baby mums and human mums I love you all the same

15.01.2022 Starting the Pre-kend just right with my favourite from @napier_quarter ! Are you an anchovy lover or hater ???

14.01.2022 As a trader I am very used to highly stressful situations on a trading floor and eat them for breakfast. This situation I was faced with pertained to me for once , and that’s where the emotion kicked in. Within five minutes of talking to Katie I was put at ease, nerves diminished, and was speaking so openly like she was an old friend. I hadn’t realised how many fears and insecurities I had about the new role I was about to accept. Katie enabled me to see my fears and accept t...hem as challenges to embrace. Katie has been a fabulous sounding board and a confidential ear in these early stages of my new role, she has helped me find answers to barriers I had built up. What amazed me throughout the whole coaching experience is the way Katie has shown me the answers are something I already had , she just taught me how to find them. Not only has Katie helped me overcome a number of obstacles I had put in front of myself for my professional life but her guidance has also help me in my personal life. I’ve always struggled with changing the tempo of when leaving work. Katie has helped me in becoming more centered to enable me to make balanced and well thought out decisions in both my professional and personal life. I am a different person post my first session, the strategies and techniques given have already shifted things and I can’t wait to go back for more. - Marianna

11.01.2022 Ok coffee fans!! I love my morning coffee I’m down to one a day (sometimes two if it’s a busy one) but get so much pleasure out of that cup. I have been trying loads of different beans and have found a favourite in @st_ali . I was wondering what your favourites were? Always happy to try something new!

11.01.2022 Do you ever feel a little overwhelmed in life? Like...'is this it?' or 'is there more?'.... Sometimes we need to take time to retreat. To me, that means taking time for you to look within and create peace. Making sure the environment around you is safe and makes you feel warm, loved and protected. Within the safe happy space that serves you, you now have the ability to step within yourself and find calm, quiet and space. RETREAT 360 gives you time to ask yourself... questions and hear the answers that will serve you. Does that sound like something you might need? I have taken the learnings from my online retreat last year and combined that with my coaching journey to bring you RETREAT 360. A 7 week LIVE online journey where you can look within, learn more about yourself than ever before and start curating the life of your dreams. Live the retreat life everyday... head to the link in my bio to find out more.

10.01.2022 Is your home a sanctuary for you?? I ask this as I suppose it’s especially relevant as everyone has spent so much time at home in the last year. Your surrounding environment can make an incredible impact on how you feel and your mental health. ... To have a space that makes you feel calm, happy, grateful and comfortable is key! When you need to retreat and take time for you, time to think, heal, rest of whatever it may be, have you made space in your home for that? As this can be key to your well-being we touch on this in RETREAT 360 link in bio for more information @happylionfilms

09.01.2022 Sometimes we put ourselves down. We can be our own worst nag don't you think? I should do this, should do that..... should be skinnier, eat healthier, exercise more, earn more, be more etc etc Instead of beating ourselves up everyday how about we start sharing what we are grateful for with our wellness. What wellness wins have you had today? A nice walk? Did you book a long overdue appointment. Did you start a new class or did you just wake up today and notice all of the beau...tiful qualities you already have. I have a wellness win coming up - a weekend away where I am not going to worry about anything but having a nice time, eating what I want and doing what I want when I want Share your wins and celebrate x

08.01.2022 Are you sick of looking back? Do you ever find yourself reliving some weird story from your youth, analysing it....analysing yourself. Maybe it crops up in a dream....out of nowhere some figure from the past that you don’t converse with or even see in your life appears out of thin air and you are left with the question why?? Maybe it’s over analysing the present and telling yourself wild stories about what others are thinking. The mind is such a crazy ride isn’t it? It can ...take you from feeling like a hero to zero. From excited to anxious. Those thoughts become feelings, sending chemical messages flying around our body so that we feel a certain way. Wow. Just wow. What a crazy body we live in it really is when you start to understand the power of our thoughts and what they do You are not your thoughts. You can choose to listen to them or simply observe, like watching a movie. Ask yourself ‘do I actually believe this’ ‘do I want to feel this way and actually think this?’ ‘Does this thought serve me and help me?’ We all get trapped. Including me! Especially when something happens out of my control. But, when you become the observer that is the first step. You can then decide what you want to think which in turn will help how you feel. Oh and don’t forget to move.... just that simple shift of energy will take you from that zero back up to hero Anyone stuck in their head at the moment? If so, what do you do to help??? I’d love to hear your tips. I’m a journal, bath, read a book kinda gal OR I go out with friends or my husband and have FUN! Clear the cobwebs and LAUGH

08.01.2022 ‘It’s a new dawn, it’s a new day, it’s a new life, for me, and I’m feeling good’ Nina Simone How are you feeling? Hopefully recovered from your New Years festivities (even if you didn’t go that far). I imagine that you are contemplating New Years Resolutions so I thought it might be good to chat about how to actually stick to the resolution.... In coaching we look at creating a vision. A vision of where you want to get to but most importantly understanding WHY. So why do you want to do your New Years Resolution (NYR)? Is it from the heart? If it doesn’t come from the heart and your emotions you will struggle as the emotional drive is a much bigger driver than the head. For example, client Nina: Nina wants to lose weight. Why? She wants to be skinnier... Why? Because I can’t fit in my clothes Why is that important? Because I’d like to feel sexier Why? Because I feel like I’ve been in sweat pants all year and feel sluggish and I want to inject some passion in my relationship. There we go- there’s the why!! Can you see it? Nina felt sluggish so she wants more energy, wants to fit in her clothes again so that she feels sexy and can inject passion in her relationship. Once you get the why you need to think of some clear goals around it. Long term measurable ones eg I’ll be in my size 10 jeans again I’ll be running 3 x a week for 30 mins each time and doing Pilates x 2 My partner and I will do something different once a month. Not just a dinner out but a day trip or trying a new hobby. So they are Ninas long term goals. Now we need to wind back to now. What three small things can she start to do to get there. Be gentle with yourself , start small and build up. If you try to much at once it can be too much change. Nina’s short term goals for the week 1. Reduce alcohol intake to government guidelines of a max 6 glasses of wine a week 2. No sugar or cheese this week 2. Start with a 30 min walk 3 x a week So whatever the long term result start small and work your way up to it. It’s better to create long term good habits than yo yo. Happy New Year everyone

05.01.2022 Tell me your Easter Tales! What are you up to this long weekend? After a busy start to the year and an ongoing injury, I am relaxing as much as I can through Easter. Its so hard to sit still when your mind and body is itching to get going? anyway else had this happen?... My biggest tip and learning is to not push yourself too hard and feel worried about letting others down. When your body (or mind) needs rest....REST!!! Sending love xx

05.01.2022 How’s your head space today? Do you ever find yourself questioning and searching for answers and going around in circles! This monkey mind is so naughty !! Do you ever find there are days when you just can’t seem to get out of a funk? No matter what you do.... ... Here’s my tip! It’s all in the way you start the day and get the energy moving. E.g if I wake up late, grab a coffee, trail through the phone messages and emails. Slump my way to the desk. I feel bad! The day just never becomes anything much more than blah. Task after task just feeling hard. However! If I don’t get up late, start with a lemon water and my spirulina tablets. Head out for a walk in the park with my audible book and then have a beautiful smoothie for breakfast - well the answer is I feel great!! We chat about the monkey a bit more in RETREAT 360 If you do have something on your mind then best to write about it and get it off the monkey mind merry go round You receive a journal as part of your retreat journey to help with this Link in bio

If you are looking and ready for something more, take a look at retreat 360 - link in bio. xx

04.01.2022 I hope you all had a wonderful Easter long weekend and to those of you lucky enough to be on holidays for two weeks enjoy I seriously can’t be believe we are well in to April in 2021 Are any of you feeling like the last three months just slipped by in a blink of an eye ?... I certainly did!! So what’s next? It’s always important to live in the present moment. Living in the past can sometimes bring some depression and too much in the future can bring anxiety, but being in the present also means knowing a little about where you want to go...... and also means having an understanding that we don’t know exactly how we will get there but trusting as the present days unfold that we will take gentle steps forward to getting where we would like to be in life. And also feeling grateful for where you are now and appreciating how far you have come after all, you are exactly where you need to be right now !! As 2021 races forward do you have some goals or plans? You don’t always have to wait for New Year’s Eve to set some goals. I love planning each month and Re evaluating where I am and where I want to go next. It’s almost like doing your monthly financial accounts. If we ignore them to long it can be a long arduous task and you can feel behind , where as if you regularly check in, you are more in control, feel comforted that you are on track and understand where you are going. So have you done your monthly check in on you? drop a if you have checked in or plan to after reading this? Let’s keep the BANK of YOU in check and healthy xxx
