13.01.2022 shifting the dynamic and meaning of professional (and personal) relationships Before the world was enveloped in a global pandemic and the words COVID-19 and coronavirus weren’t forever ingrained in humanity’s collective repertoire, our traditional working environments were accepted and embraced as the norm. For thousands of people across the country, before this year, those traditional working environments looked a lot like hopping in the car or stepping onto a train a...nd making your way to an office, a worksite or a classroom. But what about now? Here's our latest article for Upskilled - RTO 40374 SkillsTalk examining working looks like in a world where social distance has taken over virtual proximity as the ultimate buzz word.

10.01.2022 Pure Scot, in collaboration with Citizens of the Great Barrier Reef, is out to raise $100,000 to map 100 individual reefs across the Great Barrier Reef system. Spanning 2,300km in length and comprising more than 3,000 individual reefs, the GBR is one of the world’s most incredible natural wonders. However, the actual status of much of the Reef remains unknown. ... In the last decade less than 10% has been surveyed in detail, and over 40% has never been surveyed at all and, to help protect the Great Barrier Reef for future generations, scientists need to collect as much data and research as possible about this vast and remote ecosystem. 08.01.2022 kindness matters This week has been a particularly tough one for us Victorian folk - back in hard lockdown until mid August, being encouraged to wear masks in public and feeling like it was one step forward and 10 steps back in the fight against COVID-19. To compound the already established feelings of frustration and disappointment, there has been a lot of vitriol and angered words flung back and forth within our local and national community, only creating further tension ...and division. As Aristotle once wrote, "the whole is greater than the sum of its parts," and this aptly defines the modern concept of synergy. The truth of the matter is, as long as this current health and economic crisis affects anyone, it affects EVERYONE. As we continue to navigate through these uncertain times, we need to show one another kindness, listen to the medical experts and follow the rules so we don't have to keep coming back to this - in Victoria or any other part of Australia/the world. 03.01.2022 nothing but love It’s been a particularly rough week us Melbourne folk; like maybe, just possibly, our collective spirit has finally been broken by the ongoing COVID crisis. So we just want to say that no matter how you’re feeling right now, those feelings are worthy and valid. ... Angry, apathetic, anxious, sad, resigned, disappointed, exhausted, all of the above, none of the above. These feelings (and more) are totally reasonable, understandable and acceptable to feel. We might be in this together but we’re also processing this situation separately, as individuals. So if you’re feeling a bit despondent or even a little crushed that this is happening in our beautiful city, these words from Rochelle Currie have helped to remind us why Melbourne and its people are so incredible. We’re sending lots of love and positive thoughts to our fellow Melbournians during these tough and tumultuous times Just remember - we are resilient; we will endure and we will come out the other side of this. And please, PLEASE remember to reach out if you’re struggling - as we’ve said before, it ain’t weak to speak. Ever.
