10.01.2022 Has it been a while since you last saw a dentist? Regular dental checks and oral hygiene are important as recent research shows that your teeth and gums can be an indicator of your general health and identify potential problems. Only 44% of adults have an annual dental check and the number of people with untreated tooth decay is as high as 37.6% in remote parts of Australia. Gum disease also affects more than 1/3 of this population. ... Poor dental health is linked to cardiovascular disease, diabetes, stroke and dementia while a 2004 Belgian study showed a strong correlation between heart disease and gum disease. Both diseases have common risk factors such as stress, smoking and poor diet. Regular dental checks can also detect possible signs of cancer including tongue, gums, mouth, salivary glands and tonsils. Dentists are able to detect signs of oral cancer and this is another reason why you need a regular dental check. For tips on maintaining good oral health and the importance of regular dental checks, read our article here: https://bit.ly/3f3D6CU To book your regular dental health visit today, phone (02) 4782 1507 OR book online https://bit.ly/3h5pRTZ A dental check may just save your life!

06.01.2022 Hey everyone! We received great news last week from the government. Dental practices now can operate under Level 2 restrictions! Prior to this we were only able to look after emergencies. We can now perform the majority of our routine treatments to patients, excluding a few such as Scale cleans. So for anyone that has postponed their appointments, or not been able to come in because they did not fit the criteria for Level 2, call us now and we will most likely be able to see you!

02.01.2022 Hey everyone! Starting today the government has declared we are at level 2 restrictions in the dental industry. This means we can now do the following: Provide fillings and restoration under rubber dam (we have always done this). Provide extractions and treatment for teeth that are NOT causing pain (previously you need to be in pain or fit other criteria) .... Fix broken teeth that are NOT causing pain. Provide examinations and consultations for both new and existing patients. This includes Implant, cosmetic, invisalign and comprehensive examinations. Provide and complete root can treatment for teeth and patients that are not classed as emergency. Provide Crown and Bridge treatments under rubber dam (we have always done this). Provide cosmetic treatments such as teeth Whitening. Hand scaling and fluoride treatment for patients that require it. There are other procedures we can also do that are not listed. What we cannot do until we are at level 1 restrictions: Scale cleans and polishing using ultrasonic hand pieces. Elective Implant surgery (if you are not sure if you fit in this category please call us). Some other specific procedures. So if you were putting off seeing the dentist, now may be a good time to come in to get that treatment while we are able to.
