25.01.2022 Horsey Weekend - Saturday: Tom and I participated in the Zamia Dressage Training Series. After we both felt a bit sluggish in our first test, we managed to summon a bit more energy for the second one which gave us a score of over 70% and our very first 9! 20.01.2022 Today is a good day. Today is the day the horses were able to come home. After being slightly irritated at first as the place looks and smells quite different, they settled in again quickly and are here pictured happily hanging out under ‘Blue’s Tree’. I would like to express my deepest gratitude to Beth King, Tony and the whole Dressage24 team for accommodating Mary and Tom for the past weeks. Not only were they happy to help where they could, we were all welcomed with open ...arms and made felt at home on their property. To know that my horses were safe, comfortable and very well looked after and cared for in this time of chaos and devastation gave me the biggest relief and peace of mind. 18.01.2022 After 4 week of 'boot camp' with me, Barry (5yr old H x TB) returned home last weekend. Barry was quite nervy when he arrived and his work he could react in a hyperactive way, not because he is a spooky horse, but mainly because he was unsure what to do. What Barry needed is what most horses need - clarity and consistency in their work. At the end of the 4 weeks of training, Barry was more responsive than reactive and started to work in a correct and soft posture - not just for me, but also for his owner Chloe. And not only did he work well, he came to me every time I went to his paddock (even if I did not bring any food...) #horse #pferd #equine #horsetraining #pferdetraining #buildingthecoreforabetterride
