23.01.2022 FRIENDSHIPS AND A DEEPER CONNECTION My thoughts for 2021 I wish this for everyone because our lives are so much fuller and enriched with genuine friends ... Our hearts are full when we have good friends friendships don’t just happen , you need to put an effort in to have a deeper connection. So don’t wait to be invited, be the instigator, organise things , bring people together I have always done this naturally but never more so than this last year when we created an outdoor lounge area #happyplace In amongst the uncertainty of covid we decided to go ahead and support other small businesses and create this space and this is where we have had the most wonderful times with friends and family this past year. 20.01.2022 So this happened over the weekend and I couldn’t wipe the smile off my face OUR FAMILY PHOTOS Sarah who used to work for me would normally do them but she’s just had her 2nd beautiful boy so I asked my gorgeous retoucher Catherine ... She did a beautiful job... no pressure It was so cool because we were all so excited , ok Andy not so much but he was amazing once we got into it cause he loves his girls so much I’m always talking about the fact that having your family photos taken is also an experience. We had the B E S T time ...... together ! Our family of five Normally I incorporate ours when I’m photographing our whole generation so this was lovely to focus just on our five and capture all the combinations I wanted. 09.01.2022 Ive had the most wonderful weekend with one of my oldest and dearest who lives outside Toowoomba, we have not seen each other all year due to Covid and its been so wierd. Im posting this to remind us all to make the time for your girlfriends. Girlfriends time simply invigorates us, we need it Simple silly things,drinking tea while cuddling her pugs chatting, buying 5 different shades of pink lippy and throwing a few red ones for good measure, giggling as we left wonderin...g if the young girls serving us thought we were crazy. We decided they were hoping they would have that friend when they were older Driving around the country side and lunching at Rosalie house, yummmmm by the way, wandering the vineyard and nearly falling off the bench seat when we sat to take a selfie ( which we cannot do) Visiting an antique store and trying on silly hats, drinking champagne in the park watching the sunset, tea and cake at gorgeous @james street grocer. Making Mics own unique blend of oils as a moisturiser, drinking red wine by her fire. Make the time, and dont wait to be invited, be the instigator be the organiser, make things happen Make special memories Men need mate time Women need girlfriend time 100% A little self care and love from our friends is so good for the soul
