22.01.2022 A cool, wet day is a great excuse to make a delicious chicken soup This soup is from SIBO soups - Chicken and pumpkin soup. This is a family favourite and was my most requested soup last winter I usually double the recipe so that we all get to have leftovers the next day. Both of my girls work and are studying at uni so having a quick healthy meal that they can have ‘on the go’ is a must. ... I love something healthy and quick and easy to eat in between clients so soups a big must on my weekly meal plan. What’s your favourite soup?? 21.01.2022 Happy Easter Chocolate Almond Butter Pudding Ingredients ... 2 Avocados (peeled & pits removed) 1/4 cup Maple Syrup 1/2 cup Unsweetened Almond Milk 2 1/2 tablespoons Cocoa Powder 1/4 cup Almond Butter Directions 1. Combine all ingredients into a food processor or blender and blend until smooth and creamy. You may need to occasionally scrape down the sides. 2. Divide into small bowls, add your choice of toppings or enjoy as is Notes No Cocoa powder ~ use cacao powder instead. No Almond Butter ~ use peanut butter or any type of nut butter. Optional topping ~ Toasted coconut, hemp seeds, crushed nut (your choice), whipped coconut cream, fresh fruit or berries. 14.01.2022 This is a question I get asked a lot in clinic so I thought I would breakdown the common similarities that present with both Irritable Bowel Syndrome (IBS) and Small Intestinal Bacterial Overgrowth (SIBO). I am a fully qualified SIBO Doctor approved Naturopathic Practitioner and I love all things to do with digestive health issues. These conditions can also flare up again during perimenopause. Most of my clients have varying degrees of digestive dysfunction and it's important to note that not everyone has IBS or SIBO. There are many reasons as to why your digestive system isn't functioning properly but these are my main ones that I see in clinic or online with my clients . 12.01.2022 Hot sweats, night sweats and hot flushes can affect you at anytime of the day during your peri menopausal journey. Women who are menopausal (haven’t had their period for 12 months) and sometimes post menopausal can still experience all of these symptoms. 12.01.2022 Tonight’s dinner - slow cooked @bestofthebone green curry bone broth with lamb, veggies and brown rice and quinoa Really quick and easy to make - 500gms cubed lamb, 1 sweet potato chopped,... 3 shallots chopped, 1/2 bunch broccolini chopped, 1 cup boiled water with 3 teaspoons green curry bone broth - mixed 1 tin coconut cream (add this half way through cooking) add all ingredients into a slow cooker (for 6 hours) or casserole dish (cook in preheated oven at 180 degrees for 2 hours or until lamb tender.) Cook brown rice and quinoa (pre-rinse under cold water) and cooker in rice cooker with fresh water for 18 minutes. serve curry and rice together in bowls. 11.01.2022 Irritable bowel syndrome (IBS) and small intestinal bacterial overgrowth (SIBO) are my passion and an area of practice that has been my main reason as to why I studied to become a Naturopath. Digestive health is the beginning of your health journey as digestive is essential for all other areas of health. Whether you’re having hormonal issues, problems with your skin, immunity and mood, digestive health is where we begin. I’ve lived with SIBO for many years and have recently ...tested and treated myself and have now cleared my symptoms and my underlying causes. Being free of digestive issues has certainly made a huge difference to my life and I’m now able to eat out without stressing about ingredients or what’s on the menu! This can be easily done interstate or internationally. It's as easy as sending (posting) your hair sample through to me and I will then forward this onto a local (South East Queensland) company for processing.... I will have your results back within 5-10 days (depending on where your hair sample is posted from.)
