BOSE to shut 100 stores globally, halving the num...ber of its physical stores. Yes, Brand is stiill king, but brands should check their enthusiasm with the realisation that there are alternatives. Price is not the key driver for every customer, but within the high price range of luxury brands, there are many choices, and more popping up all the time. Interestingly perhaps, this signals a realisation from a highly recognised brand that online holds equal or more potential for growth and engagement than so many physical stores.

05.01.2022 Shiny new payment options for ebaY shoppers coming this year to #Australia and #Canada. In July, eBays separation agreement with PayPal expires, and eBay will ...be making good on its promise of diversifying and simplifying #payment methods on its #marketplaces. Google Pay on the #Android app, Apple Pay on #iPhone and #iPad apps, Buy-Now-Pay-Later with Afterpay on eBay.com.au in Australia and PayBright in Canada (both launched recently and already having a big impact), plus PayPal and #credit cards. No third-party #payment processing #fees for sellers. This change will also simplify Final Value Fees (FVF) for eBay #sellers into a single fee based on the product category and a fixed fee per order. FVF will be automatically deducted from each transaction and the rest paid direcly into the sellers bank account at least weekly, or as quickly as 2 business days after payment is made by the buyer. eBay says most sellers can expect to see overall savings. This is good news for sellers on the eBay #marketplace as it should simplify cashflow, streamline the payment process and save precious time.

Is this good for sellers? If your feedback is lousy, youll probably say no. But then if your feedback is significantly worse than your direct competitors, then there may be more fundamental problems with your customer experience that need to be addressed. Of course its impossible to please every customer - what upsets one customer may be of no consequence for another. Remember, feedback is not measured as part of a sellers performance rating, but if a sellers feedback is not so good, chances are that the other metrics that are measured by eBay are also down. Sellers > consider feedback as precisely that: feedback. Feedback, good or bad should be viewed as a useful tool for helping you understand your customers better. This insight into your customers should empower you to improve your business. Dont sweat the occasional negative - we all get them. But you should definitely: 1. Compare with your competitors feedback. 2. Regularly check your eBay Service Metrics https://www.ebay.com.au/sh/prf/service-metrics to ensure you are performing in line with your peers. 3.
