23.01.2022 So interestingly there are a lot of people who despise coriander......until they try my zhoug! What’s zhoug I hear you ask? It’s a Yemenite dish made from coriander, parsley, green chillis, cardamom, cumin, garlic, oil and lemon juice. It has a really nice kick to it.... So many people who ask me about this green pocket rocket sauce preface their question by saying...I hate coriander. What’s in this? I have a thing where every year I try something I normally don’t like the taste of to see if it remains on the ‘I don’t eat it’ list. Coriander was once on that list. Now it’s on the love list Do you love or loathe coriander?

19.01.2022 We missed our market family Concord Rotary Farmer's Market this Sunday. Our small food business got its first break there four months ago and we have been there through rain hail and shine. Such a lovely market. But sometimes life has other plans, so while our super chef recovers, it’s given me a chance to take a breather and reflect. I love food that is accessible to everyone. That is healthy, flavoursome, supports local farmers and producers and leaves you feeling happy. Fo...od should make you feel good. If it doesn’t, well...... 11.01.2022 Who else eats cornflakes for dinner? With hours of election-watching already behind me, and more to come, I really couldn’t be bothered cooking....... Enter food envy courtesy of some great pics by @hansyrtp taken at @acre_artarmon and I felt cheated of decent food. Quick visit to the kitchen and within minutes I made myself a hummus bowl complete with tahini, paprika and toasted pine nuts courtesy of a big cooking session yesterday. But the winner in this was the fresh pita ...bread. I had leftover dough which I popped into my pita oven and a couple of minutes later - pocket perfection.
