22.01.2022 Since re-opening we have seen some children finding it a little more difficult to cope with a return to what was the norm for them. I mean who doesnt want mum or dad at home everyday. Today is a reminder to check the signs and ask that important question ... R U OK? Give your child a chance to talk about feelings and help them with the big ones. Check in with your child about how they are feeling. If they arent able to talk about feelings easily. Saying things like It can be really scary not to know whats going to happen next or I know youre angry you can tell me why can help them connect to their feelings. Encourage them to use tools to organize emotions, like deep breathing, mindfulness, or meditation activities. A healthy body is good for the mind. All humans, and especially children, need to move around. Your child can keep their body moving through indoor or outdoor exercise it may feel daunting to return to activities but we have found as the weeks have gone by the smiles and confidence return for some a little slower. 09.01.2022 It’s a Merry Christmas and Happy New Year to all our KSS family. It’s been quite a year with mandated closures, staff illness and the prospect of possibly not re-opening but we made it and I only have my wonderful staff who worked extra shifts , filled in at short notice and went above and beyond to do anything possible to help , your commitment and work ethic has not gone unnoticed and I can’t thank you enough. To my wonderful , kind and supportive customers who changed shed...ules, accepted cancellations, teacher changes and worked with me to complete all those make up lessons from March , you are the best and I do this for you and your children and am so grateful you choose my business year after year for your children’s swimming journey. Wooloowin State School will close until January 29 for maintenance and a new salt water filtration system so unfortunately we cannot run our January Clinics . I am working on an alternative at Dickson St privates only so will keep you posted. Our offices will close until January 11 and 2021 invoices will be sent in the New Year. Santa is coming

It’s actually one of our criteria for moving from our beginners level.... So for our families with clingers we suggest you come dressed to get in and see how we go , sometimes it’s 5 minutes and they forget you’re there and other times they are won’t loosen that vice like grip for a few weeks.
