03.01.2022 Do you ever feel like this fellow looks? We sure do! A bit of info about these birds from @oceana.org: "The blue-footed booby is a seabird named for its very ...distinctive bright blue feet. As individuals of this species become mature, their feet turn blue, a secondary sex characteristic used in courtship behaviour to attract mates. The name booby comes from the Spanish word bobo meaning foolish and describes these species’ clumsiness on land and willingness to approach people." ~ Thank you @anbusiello via @birds_adored . . . . . #bluefootedbooby #galapagos #galapagosislands #bluefootedboobies #conservation #ecuador #wildlife #birds #funny #lostuneles #beautifuldestination #seabirds #funny #birdportraits #animalportrait #fauna #feedthebirds #bird_watchers_daily #audubonsociety #thetweetsuites #allmightybirds #nuts_about_birds #birdphotography #birders #noplanetb #abcaustralia #organicgardenermag See more
