25.01.2022 Hello weekend indeed! I’m wearing something noice, different, unusual, from Jericho Road Clothing - the new Ivy dress is arriving this Sunday night! It’s not just cute, it’s enviro-cute too... it’s made from a nifty lil fabric named Cupro which it turn is made from the industrial waste of the production of cotton. Genius, yeah? ... I’m wearing the size 14, it’s reasonably firm across the bust but flows over my hips just fine. I’m 165cm tall (I know you’ll ask, you always do when I wear short dresses!) and it’s just below mid-thigh. If you think blue and green should ALWAYS be seen, make sure you set your alarms for 7pm Sunday night! (Dress gifted by my lovely friends at Jericho Road Clothing, with no expectation on me to feature or review it.)
21.01.2022 Firstly, hands up my fellow The Teskey Brothers fans! Something a little different for me because today is Aus Music T-shirt Day, a day to raise funds and awareness for Support Act, a vital organisation working within the Australian music industry. Support Act raises funds for artists, crew and music workers who are experiencing financial hardship due to ill health, injury or mental health issues, as well as industry-wide shutdowns like almost all the arts have experie...nced this year. We are so lucky have such a strong local music scene in Australia, with many highly talented and successful artists across all genres of music, and whilst when the going is good in the industry it's great, when these folk fall on hard times (like bloody 2020), it's pretty tough without the regular income, sick days and support you get from more mainstream jobs. I'm wearing a tee from my forever faves, The Teskey Brothers - I’ve loved these lads since I first saw them years ago at @caloundramusicfestival, and have quite the collection of Teskey tees. I’m not entirely sure if Josh, Sam, Liam and Brendon wanted to spend the day at a school for disengaged students, but they’re coming along today! 20.01.2022 Just like plants and flowers, I thrive in Spring, as the weather warms up and we all get to shine and show our true colours. That’s why I love floral frocks so very much, and this new Cameron dress from @littlepartydress is no exception... it’s the perfect pairing of a statement print and a sweet style. I love the ruffle sleeves and the tiers, they just add such swishiness. I wore it with bright accessories (because why not), these are my Mollini Henna heels from @cinori (m...y fave store for colourful shoes) and pretty pink Aboriginal print earrings from @nunkeridesigns. 19.01.2022 Well that’s the weekend done, dammit. It’s probably time I shared a little about what’s happening in KP World... I’ve been working unexpectedly in retail as an assistant store manager (for a great brand that I very much like shopping at) for the last four weeks, but even more unexpectedly, I’ve just accepted an administration role at a school and will be starting during the first of term 4. Hip hooray for getting to wear my crazy-colourful wardrobe again! What a ride this C...OVID-19 situation has been, but I’m really looking forward to wrapping up my last week in retail and heading back into the collegiate atmosphere of education! So yes, there have been more than a few celebratory dinners and drinks over the weekend, and to my friends and loved ones who’ve supported me through the job-hunt depression that I’ve shared about, thank you all. 18.01.2022 As someone who took her watch off the minute she stepped onto the island, I’ve decided it’s happy hour every hour. Especially with a sweet’n’tart brew like this epic Holgate Brewhouse Hop Tart Blush wild berry sour ale, it’s a verrrrry refreshing afternoon situation. 4.5/5 highly recommend... the hotter the day, the better.
18.01.2022 Weekend vibes for a lovely rainy drive up to Maleny last weekend, wearing some of my pinkest faves: Jericho Road Clothing x Cody Wood Illustration daisy dress (picked up for a steal in the latest JRC warehouse sale), KJH Surf blush pink fedora, and Emeldo daisy dangles. No chance of losing me amongst all the folk wearing black and grey wet-weather gear! I really feel like pink and red is going to be my go-to combo for Spring, anyone else loving it at the moment?
17.01.2022 If you’re looking for a cheap-as-chips Summer frock to dress up or dress down, then I really don’t think you can go past the Kmart Australia Shirred Bodice Short Sleeve Dress (what a mouthful, right?)! I’ve already worn this for a #thefashionablefour feature, out to brunch with sandals, to work with a cute coral wedge, with white sneakers and a chambray shirt tied over it to the markets, and most recently, to a special celebration over at Tangalooma Island Resort. Yes, I was... a fool holding my shoes that way, and you can’t see my pretty Snow Pink Rollie Tide Slides properly - or really at all , but be assured they were the perfect addition for a sunset stroll along the beach to dinner. And can we just take a minute with that sky? It was like fairy floss spread across the horizon every evening that we were there! (Slides very kindly gifted.)

17.01.2022 Two years ago today, I dragged my very cute bestie Trainee Mama a little out of her comfort zone to join me for a super-fun shoot to launch Kawana Shoppingworld’s SS19 style campaign for PDPR, and this was one of the great pieces of content they created! Featuring Casey Hill’s amazing work, and wearing Kawana Shoppingworld retailers including Sportsgirl andDotti. Confession: I ate at least half of Trainee Mama’s gelato too.
17.01.2022 Sometimes the outfit photos are beautifully staged, with perfect hair and makeup, and full of soft flattering lighting... other times the outfit photos are squinty and laughing, and snapped at 7am in between morning rain showers and glaring early morning sun at the markets! This is clearly one of the latter, but I’m so ok with it because I felt pretty dang cute in the new Get Ready gingham dress from Little Party Dress, I mean what’s sweeter at the markets than pink gingham?! This is the new Stella Skirt in navy floral from Little Party Dress that’ll be online tomorrow night, and I can confirm that it’ll be a sell-out, just like all the LPD skirts. In a gorgeous floaty rayon, with side splits, an elastic waist, tassels and pockets, it’s jam-packed full of features; and perfect for dressing up and down. I paired it with a slogan tee, Keds kicks and a pink KJH Surf hat for a cruisy weekend look, but I’m planning on dressing it up with heels and a tank and statement jewellery for a dinner out this week. After a bunch of you loved this tiered animal print dress that wore with slides and a fedora last week, I thought I’d style it a little differently today. I got a bunch of nice compliments about wearing it with a white tee underneath, and I was super-comfy because I could wear whichever bra I wanted. Oh, and because SNEAKERS. 08.01.2022 I like to call this look ‘tropical toes’, because sometimes you just need to add a statement shoe to a very simple t-shirt and jeans combo! These Rodeo Drive Derby flats from Rollie are SUCH a comfy style to wear for a big day on my feet, and they’re still available over at the Rollie website, as well as in local and online stockists. I *may* have also spied a cactus version and a thunderbolt version too! (Rollie shoes kindly gifted last year, I’m delighted to regularly showcase such great Australian businesses.)
08.01.2022 R U OK? Day is tomorrow, and while I think we might need an R U OK? Month after this year, I love that there’s a dedicated day to remind us to ask this important question! I’m pretty comfortable asking anyone in my friendship/family circle if they R OK, but it’s what to say next that sometimes stumps me. The folks at @ruokday have put together some great resources to help you reach out to people who might be doing it tough in these *ahem* unprecedented times. If someone says ...they aren’t ok, listen to them without judgement and encourage positive action. For me personally, taking positive action is seeing a psychologist regularly, connecting with my friends, going to the beach, and moving my body daily to get good endorphins going! Well, with Queensland school holidays just around the corner, this fab Airbnb is rapidly booking. A highlight of any stay there would definitely be watching the sun rise over the water, or maybe strolling across the road to the beach. I mean, location location location, baby! There are so many amazing folks running... Airbnb places on the Sunshine Coast, and with accommodation now open for all Queenslanders, I encourage you to make a booking ASAP for a few nights away. 03.01.2022 You all know that one of my fave ways to enjoy the weekend is with great people, enjoying good drinks and listening to live music in excellent QLD weather; and I ticked all those boxes with Trainee Mama and Annabelle and their motley crews of kids at Ingenia Holidays Rivershore on Saturday afternoon. I got to debut this gorgeous Oasis Dress from Boom Shankar (recently snapped up in their super-sale), and while it was cute for some barefoot dancing with Frankie (swipe to see), I’m looking forward to Summer events so that I can dress it up with some strappy heels and statement earrings! (Oh, and yes... this is another red and pink outfit, and I’m loving it!)
