24.01.2022 The roof is on and the bones complete, a really solidly engineered building. Next up will be the windows and exterior cladding. The house is really starting to take shape now.

23.01.2022 Awesome first job getting The Joinery Shop new machine off loaded and into the workshop. The right machine for the job makes light work of a tricky situation. The telehandler was able to unload and manoeuvre into the tight shed space . Well done everyone, give KI Hire a call to enquire about the capabilities and bookings.

This amazing little building looks as though it has stood for 40 years or more! and yet everything is built to the highest quality and standards, and even better ....... there is so much history, character, blood sweat and lots of love in the build. Thanks so much to everyone who made this project so great.

19.01.2022 Kauppila Builders were very proud to attend the opening of the new STEM building at KICE Kingscote Campus today. We would like to sincerely thank our staff and our contractors for a great effort in bringing this project to fruition. Thanks to KICE students and staff for their enthusiasm and commitment to safety around the site and achieving a great outcome for the school in a short timeframe. ... We are very proud of our commitment to using local trades and suppliers that benefit the wider community, ensuring we keep investment money on the island for the benefit of all islanders. 14.01.2022 Master Builders SA, 2015 Award Winner Excellence in Commercial/Industrial Building up to $1m Kauppila Pty Ltd - Little Sahara Interpretive Centre Kauppila constructed a well finished and cost effective project on a remote and difficult site. The attention to the many environmental issues and use of local contractors and on site materials was a key requirement of the client and the project was delivered in an accelerated timeframe, meeting all the objectives of the client.

10.01.2022 A new building often starts with an old building. For the customers it was not easy to demolish the old shack with all its family memories making way for the new property, but once the decision is made it can all happen quite quickly. The asbestos was removed and the frames pulled down, with all materials being sorted for recycling.

05.01.2022 The opportunity to build the Little Sahara Interpretive Centre came from our first MBA win in 2014 when we won the Excellence in Environmental & Sustainable Construction - Residential award for a beautiful home built just out of Penneshaw. Brenton Davis from KI Outdoor Action was looking for a builder for his Little Sahara project and gave us the opportunity to tender...... that was less than 12 months ago and here we are now winning two major awards for this project!! Excellence in Commercial/Industrial under 1 Million & Excellence in Environmental & Sustainable Construction - Commercial.

It was the Kauppilas initiative and displayed exceptional thinking and action.
