25.01.2022 We would like to take a moment thank some of our fans!

24.01.2022 Unfortunately the Kavanagh Balloons factory is closed for Wednesday, 19th Feb. Due to power outages. Storms overnight have again left parts of Sydney without power. Phone services in the vicinity of the factory are also affected so we have had no option but to send staff home for the day. For urgent matters please email [email protected] and we will answer from home.

24.01.2022 A quick update for all of our commercial operators who are looking forward to getting back in the air. In the very near future we will have an update to our Flight Manual and in particular equipment list in section 7 and Type Certificate to allow all larger baskets to be used on smaller balloons subject to a common load frame size. For example, the E-260 or E-300 will now be able to be flown with a 4.0m or larger double tee basket. This will allow more space for passengers a...nd better loading with reduced passenger numbers. Any questions? Give Sean a call to discuss at any time or send us an email.

23.01.2022 Wishing all of our friends, customers and their families a safe and Merry Christmas. We have had some truly wonderful support in this challenging year and we thank you all. We have some fun projects under way and some exciting new services to announce in the new year. Lets see if we can fill 2021 with more flying and fun!... Our factory will be closed until the 4th of January but emails to [email protected] will be monitored and we will do what we can to help if an emergency arises.

23.01.2022 T-rex vs Digitool over Canberra #canberraballoonspectacular

22.01.2022 We hope everyone is happy and safe. To keep your hands and minds busy we have put together a newsletter covering some maintenance and storage tips for owners and operators. We are aware that many people have already been doing this but a few extra checks can always help keep your equipment in top shape and ready to go.... Meanwhile, our team want to let you know are all doing well and are on hand for quotes, orders and repairs as needed. Even if you just want a chat, feel free to give us a call at the factory and say hello. http://www.kavanaghballoons.com.au//Kavanagh%20Balloons%20

21.01.2022 It is always nice to review our artwork from the air. #hendricksgin

21.01.2022 A fun day at the factory for Hamish and his mum Kylie as they cut out one of our M-80 model balloons. The model balloon is using a mix of new and some recycled material from a donated balloon. With some training and assistance from our staff, Hamish was soon using the Octo cutter like a pro. The race is on for him to have it sewn before Canberra Festival in early March. It is always fun to have enthusiastic visitors. We look forward to seeing the result.

20.01.2022 Congratulations to Anton Kerr and Matt Rice on their new EX-77. After a bit of a wait for flying to resume in Australia it was great to see them out over the skies of Canowindra today. Sadly this balloon was built for the now postponed 2020 Worlds but I am sure it will just give the team more time to hone their skills in the new racer.... Thanks to Farmpix Photography for the great shots

20.01.2022 The Love Letter to Melbourne EX-90 has launched. This stunning balloon has over 900 square meters of printed artwork realising messages from individuals and corporations as a flag of hope for Melbourne and Victoria after the 2020 lockdowns. The balloon was printed in-house using the latest in full colour direct to fabric technology. ... Follow the team at @globalballooningaustralia for more photos and their adventures with this balloon. #LoveLetterToMelbourne #melbournecity #HolidayHereThisYear

14.01.2022 We hope all of our extended ballooning family around the world are keeping safe. While we are in a limited shut down for the moment we are still available to take calls, issue quotes and ship spare parts. If you are missing flying as much as we are why not sit back and enjoy an interview with the one and only Deano Pegg on the Aunty Monkey podcast.

13.01.2022 A Crossfire One sneak peek at the Canberra Balloon Spectacular and a very excited soon to be owner.

11.01.2022 A fun morning working on my LS-31. Fortunately our testing was achieved without the same excitement as the SpaceX Starship SN8 test flight but obviously this is a much simpler experimental aircraft. Still it was fun to share this day in history with them. ... Our LS project is giving homebuilders a Kavanagh designed envelope as the starting point for their next project. This model will not be type certified at this time. 12 gores, 31,600 cu.ft, parachute vent, optional rotation vents. Pricing details for plans and kits will be available soon. Contact Sean for more details.

10.01.2022 Thanks for your patience. The recent storms have taken out the power in surrounding areas and the internet here at the factory. We hope to be up and running soon and will get back to your emails soon.

10.01.2022 #hendricksginaustralia and Global Ballooning Australia on a hot Sydney afternoon for a most unusual tether.

06.01.2022 Congratulations to the Global Ballooning team on the launch of their new Hendrick's Gin B-105 today. See some behind the scenes of us making this balloon here: https://youtu.be/Yeau3ZSnYv4... Look out for some great photos of it out and flying soon. hendricksginaustralia, #Hendricksgin PS: the load tapes were finished after this test inflation. There is no white load tape running through the artwork on the finished balloon :)

02.01.2022 Do you know what a fast flow restrictor is and why they are dangerous? In the first of a series of maintenance training videos we show exactly how a fast flow restrictor affects burner performance and how to quickly test for one after tank maintenance has been performed. https://youtu.be/JpbkX2MVE5s

02.01.2022 The Crossfire One is nearly here and we need your feedback! Please take a moment to view some renders and fill out the questionnaire to let us know your favourite colours so we can get the first batch anodised. https://forms.gle/jxKVy8yZwEMLo4uh8

01.01.2022 The Balloon Live Sensor pre-sale will end on the 20th of November. To help Australian pilots wishing to order their own Sensor device Kavanagh Balloons will be acting as the single point for payment and shipping into Australia. You will need to take the following steps;... 1) visit https://balloonlive.org/sensor-sale/ to register your purchase 2) When filling out the form select "Private" for the order, Bank transfer for the payment and enter "Via Kavanagh Balloons" in the comments field. 3) Send a copy of your confirmation email to [email protected] with any specific invoicing details. 4) Kavanagh Balloons will send you the first of two invoices soon after the 20th of November. This will be for $500.00 This represents the approximate unit cost without shipping or GST. 5) Payment must be received at Kavanagh Balloons before Friday 4th of December. 6) One the units are delivered in March 2021 a final invoice will be issued to cover the split of shipping, customs and GST. Local delivery options including collection at the factory or delivery to an event will all be sorted out at that time. Note: Credit card payments will have fees added to direct deposit is the best option. If you have already placed your order with Balloon Live let me know and we will ensure it is sorted out. Why do it this way? Simply to save costs. Estimated shipping per unit direct from Balloon Live is 100 or about $160 but this does not allow for import costs. Other fees will be bank transfer or Paypal fees etc. We can split all of that to save money. Where is the ABF in all this? The ABF have received a very generous donation for the purchase of a number of the Sensors. The ABF will also be looking to add to that donation so that we will have a pool of devices that will be available for rental. How that rental program will work and what the costs will be are still to be decided. So I don't need to buy my own? We really can't decide that for you. A number of competitors are buying their own so they can use it on every flight as their main GPS sender to get familiar with it. For more information on the device and the sale visit: https://balloonlive.org/sensor-sale/ To discuss it further give me a call on 0414 773 865 Sean Kavanagh
