19.01.2022 AQUA AEROBICS CUSTOMERS Our 6pm Aqua Shallow class is still on tonight! However with the new Covid restrictions face masks must be worn indoors but not in the water. Also, with Nicole due for her baby soon tonight will be the last 6pm Tuesday class with her until we can find a replacement teacher.... Thursday nights will still be running as normal, this Thursday night will be her last night of teaching. We apologise if Tuesday is the only class you can make! We have been trying and will keep trying to find a teacher in the meantime. See you all soon!

12.01.2022 With the 50m pool back on line, the Centre will transition to summer hours from Monday the 24th of August. It has been a while....so what does that mean? Monday to Thursday 5am to 7pm Friday 5am to 6pm Saturday 6am to 5pm... Sunday 9am to 4pm With pool temps around 28 degrees, its summer at Kawana Aquatic Centre all year anyway!

12.01.2022 Superchlorination and backwash of the 50m pool both successfully completed today, but we are still waiting on the equipotential bonding clearance. Latest expectation is still Thursday but we cant introduce swimmers to the water without it. So...tomorrow AM will remain in the 25m but hopefully we can transition during the day. All visitors aged 12 years and above need to wear a mask when indoors, and all social distancing rules have been reinstated for the time being. However, you do not need to wear a mask when in the water or during strenuous exercise but please abide by current QLD Health directives, practice social distancing and ensure to wear a mask before and after your sessions.

07.01.2022 50m pool update - the pool is now full and the big clean up is near complete. A big thanks to the team at Halogen Pools that have been hard at it all weekend, cleaning the debris that a large hole in the ground collects after near 3 months empty! Water chemistry is spot on and heaters are firing (18/8 12 noon 23.0c). From hear the team will superchlorinate and backwash filters. Equipotential bonding and tiling sign off is expected Wednesday and following this we are good to go. Mark down Thursday for a swim in the brand new 50m pool! If youve been waiting for the 50m to get back into the laps then its time to get your swim bag together and come on down! There will be 1 to 10 lanes available for lap swimming from now until Sunday. Just keep an eye on when the squads are in as they will be back in that pool from today. Monday morning the 24th the new Squad Timetable will commence! 05.01.2022 Are we nearly there yet? Re the 50m pool...all the kiddies have been asking!! With tiling now largely complete, the slow fill in progress, new filtration plant commissioning and water heating just around the corner and electrical bonding works mid way, the latest estimate for handover to the good people at Halogen Pools for rapid water balance and return to swimming is approximately 2 weeks. Stay tuned....not many sleeps now!!

03.01.2022 Due to the Kawana Waters Swim Club meet (long course State prep) at the Centre this Friday evening and all day Saturday, there will be no 50m public lane availability from 4pm on the Friday evening and 7am on Saturday morning. While the 25m pool will remain available to the public, we appologise for any inconvenience.

03.01.2022 Following Queensland Health’s advice regarding the 72-hour lockdown in the Greater Brisbane area, we will temporarily close our Brisbane, Logan, Ipswich and Moreton Bay Health Clubs and Aquatic centres from 5pm today. Our Gold Coast and Sunshine Coast venues will operate as normal. However, visitors will have to wear a mask indoors unless swimming. Please exercise individual judgement if you or your child has been in the greater Brisbane area since March 20 and continue to ...follow the advice of QLD Health.
