06.01.2022 From the coach! Our Battery Wise Sunshine Coast Premier Men and Reserves are back at home tomorrow night as they take on Buderim Wanderers in what should be two very entertaining games of local football. The Reserves kick off at 4pm and the main game kicks off at 6pm, our new canteen will be open most of the day and the bar will open at 3pm. Here’s what head coach Brad Lloyd had to say...... Its been fantastic to get a full week of training in because this is a big weekend... for our squad and while we have started well this is a good test to see where we are at against quality, seasoned opposition. Buderim have some real quality in their side, they’re well coached and have a good team unity and culture. They’re extremely competitive and can seriously hurt any side if they play to their full potential, which is something we’ve experienced in the past. Our boys know they need to be at their best if we are to win this weekend. Again our squads depth will be tested with several key players missing but in saying that we are happy to welcome a new addition to our squad, Josh Sellwood, who signed with us on Saturday night. Josh is a quality, experienced defender who’s played at a high level in Queensland and is a much needed addition to our group and returns to our club where he’s played as a junior as well as several stints in the senior squad over the years.
