23.01.2022 Following recent releases from Bowls Australia and Bowls QLD, the Club has decided to suspend the Autumn Pairs scheduled for 25th March. Any rescheduling of this event will be considered at a later date. In the meantime, the Club will arrange refund of the nomination fee upon request.

17.01.2022 Club Kawana is still open and trading actively, 7-days per week from 10am until late in all areas (Bar, Bistro, Café, TAB, Gaming, Keno, Bowls). ---------------...--- Read More----------- Dear Members and Guests, Club Kawana has been continually monitoring and accessing the situation regarding COVID-19 (coronavirus) and the surrounding restrictions imposed by the government. The health and safety of our members, guests and staff is our top priority, therefore Club Kawana has made adjustments to our entry requirements, in-line with the recommendations from Government and Department of Health which can be found at the bottom of this email; furthermore our already stringent and thorough cleaning and sanitizing procedures have been dramatically increased and hand sanitizers made available throughout the venue where possible. Club Kawana is still open and trading actively, 7-days per week from 10am until late in all areas (Bar, Bistro, Café, TAB, Gaming, Keno, Bowls). However, due to the impacts surrounding this everchanging situation, we have had to make some amendments to the services that Club Kawana provides: Courtesy Buses Courtesy Bus Services will remain available with reduced capacity until Monday 23rd March 2020 - after such time, services temporarily will cease. Live Entertainment As a community club, we endeavour to continue to provide and support our local entertainers, who are facing extreme losses of work during this period. Club Kawana will continue to provide Entertainment on Thursdays between 11am-1.30pm and Friday Nights between 6.30pm-9.30pm. Our updated entertainment calendars can be found on our website: www.clubkawana.com.au/entertainment Poker & Trivia At the current time, Club Kawana will be pausing all Poker events on Wednesdays and Sundays and Trivia on Monday Nights. Raffles, Promotions & Membership Draws Raffles will continue both Thursdays (20 Prizes) from 11.30am and Fridays (30 prizes) from 6.30pm, alongside our Live Entertainment on these days. For the time being, no further Membership Draws will occur on Wednesdays or Fridays. Additionally, all promotions, including: Grocery Grab, Crack the Safe, Double or Nothing Promotion, Spin ‘N Win Hey Hey It’s Thursday Promotions, Dinner for Two Giveaway, Free Raffle Ticket Giveaway and other related promotions. 08.01.2022 This Saturday Night at 5pm its Round 1 of the 2019 Qld Premier League Season. Our Thunder plays Helensvale Hawks, a team full of Queensland and Australian playe...rs. Its a rematch of last year Premier League Final. Thunder has been boosted by the arrival of 2018 State Singles Champion Jay Dawe, Sunshine Coast Skip Danny Barrett, Former State Player Dean McWhinney and his brother Dale. Last years Kawana Premier League player of the season Keith Whalley and Nic Cahill and four times World Champion Ian Schuback. Our Premier A's also looks very strong with players like Devon Slater, Peter & Anthony Hughes, Paul Gilbert all with plenty of years of Premier League Experience. Former State Players Jane Bush & Graeme Shillington & Scotsman Wilson Alexander will skip along with Peter Hughes. So Get down in purple and rock the deck as we take on last years Champions the Helensvale Hawks.

Brett will be joining our Club immediately and representing Club Kawana for the 2021 season, and hopefully beyond. A man who needs no introduction, Brett has amassed an impressive Bowls Resume which includes 243 QLD Caps, 253 International Caps, 3 times World Champion, 3-time Commonwealth Games Medalist and International Player of the Year. Add to that the likes of Gold...en Nugget Singles, Australian Indoor Singles and a few QLD and National titles, he is a man who has achieved unimaginable heights. Brett has added another achievement to his resume, that being the current CEO of Bowls QLD. We are thrilled to have Brett join us, with the support of his wife, Fiona and 5 children Brittany, Koby, Summer, Indie & Telia. The practice of social distancing and hygiene is required at all times. At this time, morning/ afternoon tea cannot be provided under Govt restrictions. As soon as this changes we will inform you.
