24.01.2022 Each year Kawana Shopping Centre invite us to the shops to gift wrap for the shoppers. This is a major fundraiser for our Club and required all hands on deck. P...lease find attached the roster for the times we are allocated to be gift wrapping at the shops. Please get in early and pick your day and time slot (happy for you to pick more than one day and time). We really do require all time slots and amounts of people covered to make the most out of this event and raise as much as we can for our Surf Club. All money raised comes straight back to our club to help with the cost of our equipment for patrols and general running of the beach. If you haven’t done this event before it is time to give it a go, it really is a feel good event to partake in. If you are new to the club, please put your hand up and volunteer, we need everyone to help make this a success. We would like to prom...ote our club members for any work that you may need doing from a plumber to a solicitor, a butcher to a bookkeeper. If you would like to have your name in the Directory please let me know your business information. Once the list is compiled it will be distributed to Club Members.

13.01.2022 Renew your membership before the 20th August and you will go into the draw to win a $50 Club Voucher. Renewing is easy, there are plenty of options. 1: Go to ww...w.kawanasurfclub.com.au, click on Lifesaving and then Membership. You will be given the option of going to the SLSA portal or pay via PayPal. 2: Log into your SLSA portal if you are an existing member. Go to Memberships and chose either Renewals (for individuals) or Family (for families). If you are a new member Create a Profile. If you are a family create a family group and add all both parents and all nipper children. Note: Choose 2019-2020 Season 3: Via Team App. Log in to Team App. Click on More and then Renew Membership. For new members/families you are able to create an account and add new family members. 4: Come into the Surf Office Note: New Nipper members will need to provide a copy of a Birth Certificate and parents to hold a current Blue Card which can be organised through the club. 13.01.2022 Hervey Bay Carnival nominations are now open. If you haven't let me know already you are coming please do so so we can start organising teams. You will also need to let me know if you are needing a camp site. NOTE: To compete in the carnival you MUST be a financial member for insurance purposes so contact me or go online to pay your membership fees. Due to the size of our team going we need to provide an official (already sorted), an IRB Crew and Driver. I am happy to be the IRB Crew but we do need a driver still so if you would like to put your hand up to go on the roster would be great.
12.01.2022 Hervey Bay competitors: Saturday nights dinner if you would like to be included is a spit roast and salads etc. Batesy is our chef for the evening. Will be at cost so minimal cost to you.

09.01.2022 With thanks to Grill'd Kawana, our Surf Club has all 3 Local Matters Jars for this November. What does that mean for us? Well, we can't lose!!!! All tokens will... come back to the club but for different departments. Nippers, Youth and Patrolling. Who are you going to give your Token to? Why not organise a Group Booking with friends, family or work? Grill'd have a deal for Group Bookings. As I said, we can't lose. $500 will go to the department with the most Tokens in the Jar at the end of November so call Grill'd Kawana today 5444 0455 to make a booking.

05.01.2022 Carnival information Branch champs is at Mooloolaba Saturday 29th February. Nominations are closed but late entries are still open until 24th feb. Carnival entry cost is $44. State champs are at Alex on Friday 27th March and Saturday 28th March. Entries close 9th March and carnival entry cost is $65. ... Aussies are at Broadbeach on Monday 20th April. Entries close 30th March and carnival entry fee is $150.

04.01.2022 VOLUNTEERS REQUIRED FOR TIN RATTLE this weekend. This weekends SOS Week Tin Rattle is one of our major fundraisers for our club and we need everyone's help. We ...still have plenty of spaces to fill on doors. All money comes back to our club which allows us to purchase equipment for patrols and First Aid. Without this equipment and our members we can't open the beach to the public, compete in carnivals or have nippers New to the club? That's ok, tin rattle is easy. Pick a time and a door that suits you, bring the kids, dress them in their nipper outfits (they always bring in more money than the adults). Team up with another family and do it together. Please contact Greera in the Surf Office with your door and time preference.
